Backpacking Geek An online journal of a wanna-be travel blogger and photographer. A catch basin of adventures and mis His name's too short to merit a nickname.

The Backpacking Geek is a budget traveler inspired by the various travel blogs he reads. He's a quality and process analyst for a financial account on a regular day. Quick facts:
*grew up in Nueva Ecija
*got his degree in Business Economics at Central Luzon State University
*Toggling between Ayala and Ortigas for work. Gadgets are his interest. He may not have the money to buy them all but he has

the desire and interest to have them someday. Currently, he owns a few (Nikkie, Neo, iPpie and my Sammie) and they're his travel buddies. He started traveling at an early age when his family used to frequent Mindanao. His mother was born and raised in Kabacan, North Cotabato. They stopped visiting them often because he started going to school and with the increasing expense relevant to traveling, it wasn't ideal for grand family vacations. Traveling has become an interest once again when he went to Cebu with his QA friends last March. He enjoyed the trip and since then has been craving to discover new places he has never been to. After his trip to Bohol (Aug 20-22) on his own, he realized how he really wanted to travel and to explore the country. It rekindled the desire to discover places and to taste flavors these places have to offer. Marie Villadolid of Happy Travels(http://superhappytotravel.blogspot.com) has influenced him to travel more. Her blog has been an inspiration to travel even on a budget. She always believed that you don't need to be rich to enjoy traveling. He just started my travel blog a little over a year ago to document my first ever travel experience. Now he's hoping to fill it with new photos and stories as he travels the country and the world one destination at a time.

The weather pulled me to the quiet little place tucked in the heart of Alfonso, Cavite. Tsuraimen for my 4xth birthday! Mildly spicy, rich broth, tender meat, and bouncy noodles for a happy birthday!
