Let’s be honest.

Hindi lahat ng “work from home” ay relaxing.

Especially kung VA ka na 30s and up.

It sounds fancy sa labas…

“Flexible time, laptop life, work anywhere…”

Pero ang hindi sinasabi:

Work from home… habang may labada sa gilid,

You’re not just a virtual assistant.

You’re the admin, cook, budget manager, emotional sponge,
at minsan… silent crier sa banyo.

Let’s talk real talk:

Yes, mas may freedom.

Yes, hindi ka na stuck sa traffic.

Yes, pwede naka-pajama buong araw.

Pero also…

You’ll stare at your screen thinking:
“Bakit parang ang dami ko pa ring kailangang habulin?”

You’ll take a break…
then feel guilty na nag-break ka.

You’ll finish one task…
tapos may tatlo na namang pumasok.

And sometimes, you’ll wonder:
“Masaya ba talaga ‘to… or sanayan lang?”

Pero eto rin ang totoo:

Pag 30s and up ka na, hindi ka na basta-basta nadadala sa hype.

You start choosing differently.

You start wanting something quieter.

Mas stable. Mas intentional. Mas may breathing room.

The messy part?

Still learning.

Still showing up.

Still trying to build a life na hindi ka nauubos.

And that alone, big deal na yun.

If you’re in your 30s, 40s, or beyond…

and you’re still figuring out how to earn without losing yourself,

this is your reminder:

Hindi ka late.

Hindi ka behind.

Nasa transition ka lang.

And transitions are messy… but meaningful.

Because one day, you’ll look back and realize:

“You didn’t just work from home…”

You rebuilt your life.

balikan mo lang ‘to:

Kaya mo.

Slowly.

I made this page for you 🙂

Happy Wednesday!

Wag Magpakain sa Notifications

Isa sa pinakamalaking productivity killer:
constant notifications.

Every chat or notification:
nawawala focus mo.

Try this:

* mute unnecessary groups
* silent mode habang focused
* check messages every scheduled time

Hindi kailangan laging “online.”

11/05/2026

Gumamit ng Templates

Wag paulit-ulit magtype.

Save templates for:

* client replies
* follow-ups
* onboarding messages
* appointment confirmations
* invoice reminders

Mas mabilis.
Mas less pagod.

11/05/2026

Hindi Kailangan Sipagin Lagi

Importanteng maintindihan:
discipline > motivation.

May days talaga na:

* tinatamad ka
* low energy
* unmotivated

Normal yan.

Ang goal is:
gumalaw kahit konti.

Even 20–30 minutes of focused work helps.

10/05/2026

Huwag Sabay-Sabay ang Tasks

Maraming Filipino VAs ang sanay sa:

* email
* chat
* Canva
* admin task
* calls

lahat sabay-sabay.

Nakakapagod yun mentally.

Better:

Batch your tasks.

Example:

* 8am → emails
* 9am → admin tasks
* 10am → content work
* 1pm → client communication

10/05/2026

Huwag Mong I-store Lahat sa Utak Mo

One reason bakit nakaka-overwhelm ang VA work:
lahat gusto nating tandaan.

Examples:

* follow-ups
* deadlines
* revisions
* client requests
* meeting schedules

Simple Solution:

Isulat agad.

Pwede gamitin:

* Notes app
* Google Keep
* Trello
* Notion
* Sticky notes

Mas gagaan utak mo kapag hindi mo kailangang tandaan lahat.

The “Stand Once Per Hour” Hack 🪑

Every hour, stand for 2 minutes.
That’s it.

Studies show it boosts blood flow and brain activity.

Petiks move, but legit effective.

This isn’t about doing less.

It’s about doing enough.

The Petiks Way isn’t lazy - it’s intentional.

Because calm focus will always beat frantic effort.

Join the movement.

🎃 FILIPINO 30+ VAs — BEWARE.

Sa gabi ng patay…
gumigising ang mga kliyenteng nakakapatay ng energy.

They roam around in Upwork, Facebook groups, and your Gmail inbox
sniffing for pagod souls and low boundaries.

These monsters don’t eat flesh.
They devour…
🧠 your focus
🕒 your time
💳 your GCash balance
and 🫠 your precious peace after age 30.

👻 THE “FOLLOW UP?” PHANTOM

This client disappears faster than load sa GCash pay bills
after you submit tasks.

Then reappears weeks later saying:
“Hi can you resend? We lost the file.”

Sir, kayo ba nawala o kami?

🧛‍♂️ THE RETAINER-BLOOD DRINKER

Says: “Part-time lang, promise.”
Then slowly sucks your calendar dry:

✅ Daily check-ins
✅ Weekend “quick tasks”
✅ “Need ASAP” at 11:58 PM

You signed for 20 hours…
now you’re in a soul subscription plan.

🧟 THE SAMPLE-SIPPER

Starts innocent:
“Pa-sample lang po.”

You give one.
They ask for another.
Then “trial task lang.”
Then “isang revision pa.”

Until suddenly…
you’ve built half their system for free
and they ghost you like your ex after you turned 30.

🧞 THE “PA-STRATEGY LANG” JINN

They rub your inbox like a magic lamp:

“Hi quick question…”
“Brain pick lang…”
“Advice lang…”
“Call lang 10 mins…” (never 10 mins)

They don’t need a VA.
They need DEMMURE CONSULTING but ₱0 budget.

🐍 THE CHEAP-ACABRA CLIENT

Hunts VAs who say:

“Okay lang, beginner pa po ako.”

Offers rates so low
kahit si Kuyang nagbebenta ng taho offended.

If the job says:
“Flexible hours, competitive rate!”
but rate is ₱120/hour…

Run.
Delete.
Cleanse with s**a at bawang.

🦭 THE SOFT-LAUNCH SIREN

They seduce with lines like:

“Once we scale, tataas rate mo.”
“Share sa revenue soon.”
“We’re still a startup.”

🐸 THE FREEBIE-FROG FILIPINO VERSION

Croaks on Facebook groups:

“Sino po marunong social media?
Pa-test task po. Will hire best.”

Translation:
“Collecting free ideas for my sari-sari brand.”

Ward them off by saying:
“Here’s my rate sheet.”
They melt like yema sa araw.

🐙 THE ADVICE OCTO-TITA

Found in PH FB VA groups.
Has 12 opinions, 0 clients.

Sings fatal songs like:

✨ “Manifest mo lang client.”
✨ “Mindset beats skill.”
✨ “DM dream clients with ‘Hi sis!’”

Don’t listen.
Or you’ll stay soft life pero soft wallet din.

🧟‍♀️ SURVIVAL SPELLS FOR 30+ VAs

To avoid possession and burnout:

🪬 Boundaries are self-care

📄 Contracts are garlic

💸 Raise rates like MRT fares

📚 Skill > manifest

🧘 Energy is currency

🚫 Free calls? No. Send invoice.

Good news?
After 30, we don’t panic.
We just say:

“Sorry, fully booked po.” 😌

and go water our plants, stretch our lower back, and log off by 9PM.
(Okay 10:30 with skincare.)
