John 14:27 means Jesus offers His disciples a deep, inner peace ("my peace") that's a divine gift, unlike the temporary, often superficial peace the world provides, to calm their troubled hearts and prevent fear, even as He faces His crucifixion and they face future persecution. This peace is an enduring, stable tranquility rooted in a relationship with God and Christ's presence, not the absence of problems, enabling steadfastness amid life's turmoil.
