Five, four, three, two, one step ahead and weโre finally at the peak of our school journey. School often feels like a never ending climb, but what happens when you finally reach the peak? For many, itโs a mix of relief, accomplishment, and anticipation for what comes next.
The blaring alarm, the sight of your school crush with the brightest smile, and the sleepless nights that burden you these moments are all part of the ride. And now, with just a few months left in the school year, the finish line is within reach.

Going to school can be exhausting. Imagine a year filled with endless lessons while also juggling extracurricular activities and social pressures, all while feeling physically drained. Itโs easy to view school negatively because of the challenges we face, but despite the hardships, school plays a crucial role in shaping us into better versions of ourselves.
And the journey becomes even brighter with the support of friends who constantly lift us up, bringing joy and laughter as they walk through the school doors each day. Their presence makes the climb feel more worthwhile.

Looking back on the first half of the school year, itโs been quite a ride. The first day seemed daunting, didnโt it? Everything felt new, the pressure was high, and the unknown stretched out before us. But with each passing day, we pushed forward. Step by step, the school year moved from overwhelming to manageable, and now, as we near the finish line, we see just how far weโve come.

One student who has navigated these challenges is Nicole Quiambao a Grade 12 student of Nazarene Academy, has experienced her own unique journey through the ups and downs of school life. Hereโs how she reflects on her experience:
How has your school year been so far?
"As a transfer student, I struggled at first to adjust to the new people and environment. But I became happier when I met new friends who became close to me."
How do you plan to make the most of the remaining months in school?
"I plan to spend as much time as I can with my friends and put in my best effort in everything I do."
What do you look forward to, and what are you thankful for?
"As a Grade 12 student, Iโm looking forward to graduating not just graduating, but walking across the stage with an award. I also look forward to finishing all my requirements, especially our research project."
Nicole acknowledges the challenges of being a transfer student. It wasnโt easy to feel left out at first, to learn the schoolโs traditions, and to socialize with students who had already formed tight-knit bonds. However, as the year has progressed, she has shown determination to finish strong, focused on achieving her goal of graduating with honors.
