The Republic Central Colleges- High School Department conducted its annual orientation for incoming Grade 7, Grade 11, and transferee students for the upcoming academic year on June 17, 2025, at the High School Library.
At the start of the event, Ms. Sharmaine Marcelo, an adviser from the Grade 7 level delivered the opening remarks, formally welcoming the students in the school.
After the warm welcome, the Senior High School Coordinator, Mr. Renz Camaya talked about the history of the school from its humble beginnings up to how it is now, the philosophy, mission, vision, and goals.
Dr. Shirly D. Lazatin, the Principal of High School Department also welcomed the students and afterwards talked about the schoolโs policies on attendance, suspension of classes due to inclement weather and high-heat index, proper decorum and discipline and senior high school voucher program where subsidies will be provided on the tuition of the senior high school students.
Having RCC known for its various clubs and organizations that the students may join to further develop themselves and build camaraderie among their schoolmates, Ms. Sweetzel Serrano has given a run through of the clubs and organizations that the students may wish to join in the future.
To further talk more on the facilities and services that the students may patronize in their stay at RCC, Ms. Pilar Q. Moyano, Chief Librarian and Ms. Patricia Mae Condes, OIC for Guidance and Counseling Office talked about the library services and studentsโ development services respectively.
Shedding light on the payment and tuition of the students, Ms. Jingle Punzalan has given a talk regarding this matter as well as the scholarships that the students may avail should they qualify.
Before the orientation finished, Mrs. Ferlee Dancel, the orientationโs master of ceremonies, introduced the school administrators and teachers to the students.
To conclude the event, Ms. Anna Dominique Torres, the coordinator for Grade 12 delivered the closing remarks to cap off the event.
