The annual Voucher Orientation Program for Senior High School (SHS) students, spearheaded by Dr. Shirly D. Lazatin, the High School Principal, alongside the Grade 11 advisers, today, July 16, at the RCC Seminar Room at 9:00 AM.

Dr. Lazatin discussed matters related to the nature of voucher subsidies that will be given to the students, as well as the legal bases, policy guidelines, and terms and conditions were also included.

The Principal also mentioned in detail the conditions regarding those who are qualified to receive the voucher subsidy, those who are required to apply, and the amount of subsidy that will be received by the learners.

Requirements such as the birth certificate, report card, certificate of completion, and QVR certificates of the students were mentioned in the orientation period.

After the orientation proper, a dialogue between the students, parents, and principal was held to answer the queries of the learners and stakeholders.

The event was formally opened by Mr. Ronalfredo Cayanan, Grade 11 Coordinator and 11-GAS adviser, while Mr. John Michael David, adviser of 11-STEM, delivered the closing remarks.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kenneth John Santos, the adviser from 11-HUMSS A, served as the master of ceremonies.

The High School Department of Republic Central Colleges, led by the high school principal, Dr. Shirly D. Lazatin, together with the Grade 7 advisers, spearheaded the Education Service Contracting (ESC) General Orientation to the parents of grade 7 students at the RCC Seminar Room, on July 15 at exactly 9:00 AM.

Dr. Shirly D. Lazatin served as the speaker to the event, having discussed the legal basis and nature of ESC to the students and the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) as the trustee of Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE) โ€” a perpetual fund created to provide assistance to private education in the country.

Also, Dr. Lazatin talked about the conditions of the ESC Grant that are as follows: the coverage of ESC grants (4 years from Grade 7 to 10); the grant remains in force for the next school year; enrolled in an ESC-participating JHS; and the grant is terminated if the student committed to any of the following: drops out for non-health reasons, if transfers out to non-ESC participating school, etc.

In the latter part of the orientation period, a walkthrough of accomplishing the ESC Application Forms and Contract Signing were done, sealing the promise of quality education for the learners.

Mr. Alexander Tiangco, the Grade 7 Coordinator, opened the event for the parents while Ms. Sharmaine Marcelo, one of the Grade 7 advisers, delivered the closing remarks and also served as the eventโ€™s master of ceremonies.

The papers signed and accomplished were submitted to the respective advisers of each class after the closing remarks had been delivered.

Republic Central Colleges formally opened the Academic Year 2025-2026 today, featuring an opening salvo hosted by the High School Student Council (HSSC) at the campus quadrangle.

Despite the moderate rain, the opening salvo proceeded as planned, with masters of ceremonies Dhafnie Cuenco and Twinkle Jade Linga of 12-HUMSS A leading the program.

Meanwhile, the opening salvo featured the performances of the RCC Mananayaw, Himig Musika, and the High School teaching force. Following this was the formal introduction of faculty members and class advisers for each grade level and section.

Classroom orientations with students and their advisers occurred from 7:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. and resumed after the program proper.

The Republic Central Colleges- High School Department conducted its annual orientation for incoming Grade 7, Grade 11, and transferee students for the upcoming academic year on June 17, 2025, at the High School Library.

At the start of the event, Ms. Sharmaine Marcelo, an adviser from the Grade 7 level delivered the opening remarks, formally welcoming the students in the school.

After the warm welcome, the Senior High School Coordinator, Mr. Renz Camaya talked about the history of the school from its humble beginnings up to how it is now, the philosophy, mission, vision, and goals.

Dr. Shirly D. Lazatin, the Principal of High School Department also welcomed the students and afterwards talked about the schoolโ€™s policies on attendance, suspension of classes due to inclement weather and high-heat index, proper decorum and discipline and senior high school voucher program where subsidies will be provided on the tuition of the senior high school students.

Having RCC known for its various clubs and organizations that the students may join to further develop themselves and build camaraderie among their schoolmates, Ms. Sweetzel Serrano has given a run through of the clubs and organizations that the students may wish to join in the future.

To further talk more on the facilities and services that the students may patronize in their stay at RCC, Ms. Pilar Q. Moyano, Chief Librarian and Ms. Patricia Mae Condes, OIC for Guidance and Counseling Office talked about the library services and studentsโ€™ development services respectively.

Shedding light on the payment and tuition of the students, Ms. Jingle Punzalan has given a talk regarding this matter as well as the scholarships that the students may avail should they qualify.

Before the orientation finished, Mrs. Ferlee Dancel, the orientationโ€™s master of ceremonies, introduced the school administrators and teachers to the students.

To conclude the event, Ms. Anna Dominique Torres, the coordinator for Grade 12 delivered the closing remarks to cap off the event.
