I saw this post from a professor na sobrang galit kasi halos buong klase daw niya gumamit ng AI para sa written output nila. Then may nag-comment pa na:

“Kung sino nagvideo nito? For sure estudyante ‘to.

And honestly, I totally agree.

You know what, it takes us teachers hours, minsan days, to plan lessons, make activities, and think of ways to make learning meaningful. Recorded man ‘yan o face-to-face, effort pa rin ‘yun. Pero in just a snap, may mga estudyante na gagamit ng AI para lang matapos ang task, without even applying what they learned.
Masakit ‘yun, honestly.

I’ve been in that professor’s shoes before. I once asked my students to write a reflection paper about how they made a certain project (di ko na sasabihin kung ano). The questions I gave were personal, something that only they could answer.

So I used an AI detector app, and guess what?
Most of their submissions were AI-generated. 😔

Para sa mga Students, please remember these:

- Your teachers, lalo na mga language teachers, can easily tell if your work is AI-generated.

Teachers weren’t born yesterday.

-Be honest. Honesty goes a long way.

-Pag ikaw mismo ang nagsusulat, mas na-aactivate ang utak mo. The more you think and write on your own, the better your brain performs next time.

-Writing independently improves your communication skills.

Writing is not punishment. It’s practice for real life.

Para naman sa mga Teachers:
Maybe we can also adjust our strategies a bit to cope with this AI era:
-Stick to traditional practices. Give immediate and corrective feedback.
-Sit with your students one-on-one. Oo, tasky siya pero super helpful. Kapag nakita nila na you care enough to guide them personally, mas nagiging motivated silang mag-improve.
-Let them experience the rigor of writing. Start from brainstorming, drafting, revising, hanggang final output. The process itself teaches discipline and growth.

To my fellow teachers: Do not lose hope. Technology is evolving, but our mission stays the same, to teach our students how to think, not just how to comply.

To my dear students: I know AI makes life easier. Pero tandaan, convenience is not always growth.
Kapag ikaw mismo ang nagsulat, kahit may grammar lapses o awkward phrasing pa ‘yan, at least tunay. That’s your voice. That’s your effort. That’s something no AI can ever imitate.

Let’s use AI as a tool, not as a shortcut.
Because real learning should never be artificial.
