"Lumaki ako na walang masyadong pictures or family trips to look back on."
Some of us grew up wishing we had more family memories to look back on. Yung mga simpleng dinner together, spontaneous trips, celebrations, pictures na kapag nakita mo years later, mapapangiti ka na lang.
Kaya ngayon, we choose to create those memories for ourselves and for our family.
Yes, kumakain kami sa labas. We travel when we can. We celebrate little things.
We take our daughter to places, let her experience new things, and give her stories she can hopefully tell when she grows up.
Hindi ibig sabihin nun na hindi kami marunong mag ipon or hindi namin iniisip ang future. We do. We just believe that preparing for the future shouldn’t mean forgetting to live in the present.
Because someday, the money we spent will be gone anyway.
Pero yung mga kwento, pictures, tawanan, pagkain na sabay sabay naming kinain, mga lugar na napuntahan, at mga simpleng araw na pinili naming gawing memorable, those are the things we’ll still have.
Hindi naman laging kailangang piliin between saving for tomorrow and living today. We just have to find a balance.
At the end of the day, we’re not trying to show people how much we can spend.
We’re simply trying to give ourselves and our family the memories we didn’t have enough of growing up.
We’re just making memories while we still have the time to make them. ❤️
