Have you ever noticed how, when our parents grow old, they sometimes act like kids again? They forget things, get moody, or just want our company.
And here we are—juggling bills, kids, and responsibilities. Sometimes, when our parents need us too, it feels heavy, right?
But pause for a moment. Remember when we were helpless? They never turned their backs. They gave what they could, even if it wasn’t perfect, even if life was hard.
Now our generation often says: “Parents are not our responsibility.” Maybe that’s true. But here’s another truth—love isn’t about responsibility. It’s about choice. It’s about remembering that not all parents had the opportunities, knowledge, or financial stability we have today.
And you know what? They don’t want to burden us. They don’t want to bother us. Most of the time, they just want to feel that they still matter.
So what if, instead of thinking of it as an obligation, we see it as a blessing? To check on them. To talk to them. To be their friend. To give back—even just with time and presence.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not really a burden. It’s a gift. A gift to say:
✨ “I’m strong enough to raise my family, and still love the ones who raised me.” ✨
