𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Maritime Safety Services Unit Bicol together with CGSS TABACO personnel attended the Consultative/Coordination Meeting with shipowners and operators of wooden-hulled vessels plying the San Roque, Tabaco City – San Miguel Island route and vice versa. The meeting was held earlier today, 17 September 2025, at Fatima Fish Port, Tabaco City, and spearheaded by MARINA Regional Office V.

The said initiative was conducted to address the pressing issues on the operation of unregistered wooden-hulled vessels and to encourage their registration and acquisition of Certificates of Public Convenience (CPC) from MARINA RO V, in line with the goal of enhancing maritime safety and legal compliance.

This activity also serves as a testament to the continuing collaboration between the Philippine Coast Guard and MARINA in ensuring safe, secure, and efficient maritime transportation in the Bicol Region.
