Bilang kabahin sang aton programa sa Resilience kag Responsiveness sa aton HEART agenda, aton na nga gin-deploy ang una nga batch sang Community Disaster Preparedness Training volunteers halin sa malapit 600 ka fisherfolk kag ila pamilya gikan sa mga barangays lapit sa baybay sa ciudad sang Bacolod.

Kaupod si Councilor Pao Sy kag ang DRRMO, aton gin-train ang ini nga mga volunteers nga mangin immediate first responders sa ila tagsa ka komunidad. Bilang opisyal nga volunteers sang aton ciudad, ila na nga nabaton ang Official IDs, Volunteer Vest, Certificate of Completion, kag tag 10 kilos nga bugas bilang dugang nga suporta kag pasalamat sa ila.

Aton man ginpabutyag sa ila nga ang top-performing volunteers may kahigayunan nga ma-promote kag maka-obra sa aton City DRRMO. 😊

Wala labot sini, magadugang man kita sang specialized CPR training para sa ila tanan.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬| The Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection–Negros Island Region (BFP-NIR), 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗙𝗢 𝗣 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗔, paid a courtesy visit to Bacolod City Mayor Hon. Greg Gasataya as part of strengthening coordination and partnership between the agency and the local government unit. In attendance also were 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗘 𝗖 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗣, Bacolod City Fire Marshal and 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗝𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗘 𝗚 𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗨, Bacolod City Deputy Fire Marshal.

During the meeting, both discussed collaborative efforts to enhance fire safety programs, emergency response initiatives, and community-based fire prevention strategies within the city. The visit also served as an avenue to reaffirm BFP-NIR’s commitment to support the city’s public safety agenda while fostering a proactive and unified approach in addressing fire-related concerns.
