Last night, Bacolod City was named the 2025 Top Performing PESO in the Negros Island Region. This was alongside 5 more awards given to our city at the PESOMAP NIR Congress.

Bacolod was called to the stage six times - as top performing PESO, for having conducted the most job fairs all year, for having the highest number of applicants hired on the spot, for most DOLE programs implemented, and for the success of our Labor Day and Kalayaan job fairs.

Although I am proud of our hardworking public servants, we are not celebrating the plaques. We are celebrating the lives they represent.

Behind these awards are lives that have been changed. When they announced that we achieved the highest number of applicants hired on the spot, I thought about the young graduates who went to our job fairs holding nothing but a folder of resumes and a prayer, and walked out with a bright future. I thought about the parents who, after months of struggling, finally secured the means to put food on their family's table and send their children to school.

For us, that is the real measure of how much we have served. Public service is about bridging the gap between struggle and opportunity. A job is never just a paycheck - it is dignity. It is respect. It is the peace of mind that comes from knowing you can take care for the people you love. It is the fair shot at life that our people deserve.

These awards do not just belong to the tireless men and women of our PESO team. More importantly, they belong to each and every hardworking Bacolodnon who choose to try.

Padayon kita. We will continue working hard to keep the doors of opportunity wide open for our people. πŸ™

Ginpanghatag na subong nga aga, Agosto 27, ang P12.2 million nga Presidential Assistance gikan sa Office of the President nga ginpangunahan ni Mayor Greg Gasataya upod ang DILG- Bacolod sa 61 ka mga barangay sang syudad sa idalum sang β€œBawat Barangay Makikinabang” Program ni President Ferdinand β€œBongbong” Marcos, Jr.

Ang kada barangay nakabaton sang tag P200,000:
β€’ P100,000 para sa lima ka Presidential Scholars, tig-P20,000 kada estudyante sa kolehiyo
β€’ P100,000 para sa napilian nga community development project

Para masiguro nga ang scholarship makadto sa mga estudyante nga nagakinahanglan kag nagakaigo, gin-obligar ni Mayor Greg Gasataya ang tagsa ka Punong Barangay nga magsumiter sang signed certification nga wala sa mga napilian nga mga scholar ang kapamilya ukon paryente sang bisan sin-o nga incumbent barangay official.

Ginpasalamatan ni Mayor Gasataya si Presidente Marcos, ang DILG kag ang national government sa patas nga paghatag sang pondo sa tanan nga 61 ka barangay.

LOOK! Nagpatigayon sang follow-up clearing operation ang City Legal Office Enforcement Team sa Brgy. Tangub Public Market, dungan ang traffic enforcement sang BTTMD.

Sa clearing operations:
-Ginpabalhin ang mga lamesa kag bangko nga nagabalabag sa sidewalk ukon nagalapaw sa ginkasugtanan nga boundaries.
-Ginpabaklas ang improvised roof extensions nga nagasugpon ukon nagalabaw sa public market.
-Amo man sa mga illegal structures nga nahamtang sa tunga sang merkado kag tupad nga eskwelahan, lakip ang mga ginpatindog liwat matapos ang una nga clearing operations sang tinalikdan nga mga semana.

Naghiwat man sang dialogue sa Brgy. Tangub Peoples Hall sa pagpanguna ni BTTMD Head Atty. Reuben Mikhail Sabig kag barangay official nga nagpa-athag sa mga vendors nga ang ila ginpirmahan nga undertaking ang dapat hugot nga ginasunod.

Ginmanduan man sila nga mag-coordinate sa BPLO para sa nagaka-igu nga special permits.

Sa ila simultaneous BTTMD traffic enforcement;

16 driver’s licenses confiscated due to violations

ginpatigayon nga MICE Convention kaupod ang lokal nga sektor sang hospitality, events, business, transportation, kag mga kaangay nga industriya, aton ginsiguro ang paghiliusa kag kahandaan sang aton ciudad sa pag-akomodar indi lang sang mga turista sa aton mga festival, kundi pati sang mga nagakalain-lain nga events parehas sang mga international kag local sports events, conventions, expo, kag mga business conference.

Just this year alone, Bacolod hosted the NIRAAM, National PRISAA, FIBA SEABA U18 Qualifiers, and the Visayas Area Business Conference 2026 among many others. We are also looking forward to hosting the World Archery Philippines Regional Finals on October 24 to 28, and the Batang Pinoy 2026 this December 12-18 which are expected to bring thousands of visitors and tourists to our city.

Through this partnership, we are positioning Bacolod City as a premier venue for international and local events, ensuring that our economy and industries are moving all year round - translating to more income for our businesses from micro to large scale, and more employment and livelihood opportunities for Bacolodnons. πŸ™

Ang nasambit nga training ang may tuyo nga mapabakod ang ihibalo kag kapasidad sang local media sa husto, madasig, kag responsable nga pagreport sang mga kalamidad kag
emerhensya.
