Insecurities in ourselves, and lack of faith in our partners, or relationships, even business relationships, need a solid ground to work from, to build, you need a strong foundation first. I used to think Love could conquer all, but that's just a part of the dynamic.
Accepting people for who they are, is imperative.
Also, powerplays are only good for the bedroom. In day-to-day life, if you cannot operate as a team, then there is no point in coupling. Controlling partners are smothering, eventually they will put out the flame. Trust is a key component.
They say a man will accuse his wife of infidelity whilst the whole time it is them reflecting on what they have been doing. Respect is not negotiable. Don't reprimand ever, or air grievances in public.
Also, allow space for each of you to grow and breathe.
