Leaders Take Oath in Ceremony of Commitment and Service.
By: Jenelyn S. Bautista

On July 22, 2026 a renewed spirit of leadership and service filled Luisa Medel National High School during the recent induction ceremony for newly elected officers, a meaningful event that gathered students, teachers, and school officials in a shared celebration of responsibility and commitment.

The program began with an opening prayer led by Ulysses Fernandez, followed by the nationalistic song that set a respectful tone for the occasion. James Z. Gayondato, OIC Principal, welcomed the participants and underscored the value of unity, cooperation, and servant leadership in strengthening the school community.

Messages from the inducting officers, PSDS Ma’am Corina Guanzon, Kagawad Luz Atienza and Kagawad Magallanes, of Barangay Tangub, highlighted the importance of active participation and accountability in leadership. Their presence added significance to the event, reminding the newly elected officers that leadership carries both privilege and responsibility.

A central part of the ceremony was the mass induction of officers from the SPTA, FEA, SSLG, Homeroom PTA, School Clubs and Organizations. The oath-taking symbolized their formal acceptance of duties and their pledge to serve with honesty, dedication, and integrity. Messages of support from the newly elected presidents of the SPTA, FEA, and SSLG further reflected the enthusiasm and hope of the school community.

The program also featured the turnover of key responsibilities, candle lighting ceremony, and community song, each adding a meaningful layer to the event’s message of continuity, unity, and shared purpose. These symbolic activities emphasized that leadership is not only about authority, but also about guidance, cooperation, and commitment to the common good.

The ceremony concluded with the closing remarks of Ms.Leah Cansancio, Adopt-A-School Coordinator, and the steady guidance of Rhoda Marie Dava as master of ceremonies. The event left a strong impression on everyone present, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the school’s student and organizational leaders.

The induction ceremony stood as a reminder that true leadership is built on service, discipline, and responsibility. As the newly elected officers begin their term, they carry with them the trust of the school community and the challenge to lead with purpose.

The Mock Interviews for selected Senior High School (SHS) students from Grade 11 sections Parfait, Sorbet, and Societas were conducted under the guidance and supervision of their section counselor Christian L. Batiller. The activity was held at the school library on March 10, 11, and 12, 2026. It gave students the opportunity to experience how a job interview is usually conducted.

During the mock interviews, students practiced answering common interview questions and learned how to present themselves effectively. They were guided on how to speak clearly, demonstrate confidence, and highlight their strengths and experiences.

This activity helped students improve their communication skills and build confidence. It also helped prepare them for future job opportunities and real interview situations. ✨

We proudly announce our school's latest achievement! 👏🏻

Mayor Albee Benitez's pioneering advocacy— E-Libraries for all public schools, enhances public education. He wants all public schools to have equal access to computers and the internet. This thoughtful initiative bridges the digital divide and empowers underprivileged students.

On October 25, 2024, our school received 3 brand-new computers and a printer from the office of the mayor. This incredible donation empowers our students with learning opportunities and an access to digital resources. Our students, teachers and staff are grateful for this transformative gift!

Now, some students are using the Free WiFi, which we got earlier this year, to do research. Others are working on the new computers and printer that Mayor Albee Benitez gave us.

Students can now do research, print projects, and explore the digital world! Just log in through our record book, follow the schedule posted and start learning 💻📚

Special recognition to Mayor Albee Benitez for investing in our community's future ✨
