How to make Beef Stroganoff Pasta (Fettuccine)

Creamy, savory, and comforting — this Beef Stroganoff Fettuccine combines tender beef strips with mushrooms in a rich sour cream sauce, tossed with perfectly cooked pasta.



🧾 Ingredients

For the pasta:

* 250g fettuccine pasta
* Water for boiling
* 1 tbsp salt

For the beef stroganoff sauce:

* 300g beef sirloin or tenderloin (thinly sliced into strips)
* 2 tbsp butter
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 1 medium onion (sliced)
* 3 cloves garlic (minced)
* 200g button mushrooms (sliced)
* 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
* 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
* 1/2 cup all-purpose cream or cooking cream
* 1/4 cup sour cream
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Parsley for garnish



👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the fettuccine

* Boil water with salt.
* Cook fettuccine until al dente.
* Drain and set aside, drizzle a little oil to prevent sticking.



2. Sear the beef

* Heat olive oil and butter in a pan.
* Sear beef strips quickly over high heat until browned.
* Remove and set aside (don’t overcook or it will become tough).



3. Build the sauce base

* In the same pan, sauté onions until soft.
* Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
* Add mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and brown slightly.



4. Make it creamy

* Sprinkle flour and mix well (this helps thicken the sauce).
* Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring.
* Add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard.
* Simmer until slightly thickened.



5. Add cream and beef

* Lower heat, then stir in cooking cream.
* Add sour cream and mix until smooth.
* Return the beef to the pan and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
* Season with salt and pepper.



6. Combine with pasta

* Toss cooked fettuccine into the sauce.
* Mix until pasta is fully coated and creamy.



🍽️ Serving

* Garnish with chopped parsley
* Optional: add grated Parmesan for extra richness
* Serve hot and enjoy immediately
