🌱 Ang Carriedo Fountain ay itinayo noong 1882 bilang parangal kay Don Francisco Carriedo, isang Spanish nobleman na naglaan ng malaking pondo para magkaroon ng unang modernong water system ang Maynila.

Dahil dito, naging posible ang mas malinis at tuloy-tuloy na suplay ng tubig sa lungsod noong panahon ng Kastila. Isa rin ito sa mga pinakamatandang fountain monument sa Maynila at unang itinayo sa Rotonda de Sampaloc bago inilipat malapit sa Quiapo kung saan mas kilala ito ngayon.”
