April 5, 2025 – The BSNHS faculty headed by Ma'am Emelyn C. Medrano, students, along with members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines, join forces for a tree planting activity in Barangay Bagong Silang, Tagkawayan, Quezon. The event is conducted in coordination with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Tagkawayan, which provides the seedlings and the Barangay Officials.

BSNHS, Pinangunahan ang Clean-Up Drive para sa malinis na Komunidad

Marso 22, 2025 — Upang mapanatili ang kalinisan at maiwasan ang pagbaha, nagsagawa ng clean-up drive ang mga mag-aaral at g**o ng Bagong Silang National High School (BSNHS) ngayong araw sa Barangay Bagong Silang, Tagkawayan, Quezon.

Ang aktibidad na may temang “Clean-Up Drive: Halina’t Magkaisa, Humanista!” ay isang inisyatibo ng Grade 12 HUMSS bilang bahagi ng kanilang asignaturang Community Engagement, Solidarity, and Citizenship sa pangunguna ng kanilang g**o na si Gng. Rosaly R. Mendoza. Ito ay nakatuon sa paglilinis ng mga baradong kanal na nagdudulot ng pagbaha tuwing umuulan.

Nilahukan din ito ng iba’t ibang organisasyon sa paaralan tulad ng Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) Officers, Boy Scouts, at Girl Scouts katuwang ang mga g**o, sangguniang kabataan sa pangunguna ni SK Chairman Sahrney D. Sarne at Sangguniang Barangay sa pamamahala ni Kapitan Virgilio S. Virtucio.

Ayon kay Gng. Rosaly Mendoza, ang naturang gawain ay isang mahalagang bahagi ng kanilang kurikulum na may layunin na maituro sa mga mag-aaral ang kahalagahan ng commitment, pakikiisa at pakikilahok sa mga gawain para sa ikauunlad ng komunidad.

Binigyang diin din ni Gng. Mendoza ang kahalagahan na malaman ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang obligasyon bilang isang kasapi ng pamayanan at ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga lokal na grupo/organisasyon o kasapi ng komunidad upang mahikayat na makilahok sa mga gawaing pangkomunidad.

Samantala, ibinahagi ni Cristy Virtucio, overall coordinating committee ng Grade 12 HUMSS, na nais nilang maging inspirasyon ng iba pang kabataan na tumulong sa simpleng paglilinis ng ating kapaligiran nang sa gayon sa bawat sitio ng kanilang barangay ay walang makikitang baradong kanal, basura na nakakalat at hindi naka segregate na basura.

“Ang maduming kapaligiran ay maaring magdulot ng sakit tulad ng dengue kaya mahalaga na mapanatili itong maayos at malinis” dagdag pa ni Bb. Virtucio.

Ikinatuwa rin ni Rhenz Mark R. Marquez, isang Senior Scout ng BSNHS, ang kanyang karanasan sa aktibidad: “Napakagandang sumama sa ganitong gawain dahil nakatutulong ito sa kalikasan at nakababawas ng basura sa ating paligid.”

Matapos ang limang oras ng paglilinis, matagumpay na natapos ang programa. Nakuha ang ilang sako ng basura at nalinis ang mga baradong kanal, isang patunay ng malasakit ng kabataan sa kanilang komunidad.

BAGONG LIDERATO NG SSLG, OPISYAL NANG PINROKLAMA

Pormal nang ipinroklama ngayong umaga, Pebrero 26, 2025 ang mga bagong halal na opisyal ng Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) sa Bagong Silang National High School. Pinangunahan ni Gng. Emelyn Medrano, punong-g**o I ng paaralan, ang proklamasyon matapos ang isinagawang eleksyon kahapon Pebrero 25, 2025.

Sa pangangasiwa nina Bb. Ma. Faye Kimberly S. Pancho, Commisioner on screening and validation, Gng. Ebeth L. Umali, Commissioner on grievance, G. Mark Anthony Umali, Commissioner on Electoral Board at ng mga kasalukuyang SSLG officers na tumulong sa pagbibilang ng boto, opisyal nang inanunsyo ang mga nanalo mula sa dalawang partido—LIGHT at BRIGHT.

Matapos ang mainit na kampanya sa nagdaang Miting de Avance nanaig sa eleksyon ang LIGHT PARTYLIST, na nasungkit ang karamihan sa mga posisyon, kabilang na ang pagka-presidente na napasakamay ni Marlo Mendoza matapos makakuha ng 206 boto, laban kay Kenn Vincent Benito ng BRIGHT PARTYLIST na may 60 boto.

Matapos ang proklamasyon, nagbigay ng maikling talumpati ang bagong halal na presidente ng SSLG na si Marlo Mendoza, kung saan ipinahayag niya ang kanyang pasasalamat at pangako sa kanyang mga kapwa mag-aaral.

"Kami po ay magiging katuwang ninyo sa lahat ng mga gawain at aktibidad sa ating paaralan upang mas mapabuti pa ang ating komunidad bilang mga mag-aaral." saad ni Mendoza.

Samantala, malugod ding tinanggap ng SSLG adviser na si Sir Jaypee Umali ang mga bagong opisyal at hinikayat silang maging mabuting lider para sa kanilang kapwa mag-aaral.

Para sa pagsisimula ng kanilang panunungkulan sa taong panuruan 2025-2026 ay umaasa ang buong paaralan na ang bagong hanay ng liderato ay maghahatid ng positibong pagbabago at epektibong representasyon para sa mga mag-aaral ng Bagong Silang National High School.

BSNHS TVL Students Thrive in Immersion Program

Bagong Silang National High School's 22 Grade 12 TVL students successfully completed their work immersion at Datz Robmel Food Corporation McDonald's Tagkawayan from February 2 to 14, 2025.

Guided by Managing Director Justine Reyes, Operations In-Charge Ramon Verdeflor Jr., and People Department Manager Liezel Umali, the students gained hands-on experience in fast-food operations, customer service, and human resources.

The program, a core component of the BSNHS curriculum, allowed students to apply classroom lessons in a real-world setting. It also boosted their confidence and enhanced their practical skills, helping to prepare them for future careers.

This collaboration is a testament to the school’s dedication to bridging the gap between education and industry, ensuring students are workforce-ready upon graduation.

ARAW NG MGA PUSO MASAYANG IPINAGDIWANG NG MGA SILANGONIAN

Pebrero 14, 2025 – Masayang idinaos ng mga estudyante, g**o, at magulang ng Bagong Silang National High School ang Araw ng mga Puso sa isang matagumpay na seremonya na pinangunahan ng iba’t ibang organisasyon ng paaralan tulad ng SSLG, BKD, RCYC, YES-O, at YECS.

Iba’t ibang booth ang itinayo upang magbigay-aliw sa mga mag-aaral, kabilang ang Jail Booth, Wedding Booth, at Photo Booth, na sinamahan din ng shout-out session para sa mga estudyante.

Sinimulan ang programa sa isang panalangin na pinangunahan ni Audrey Eunise C. Lopez, kinatawan ng SSLG, na sinundan ng pag-awit ng pambansang awit ng Pilipinas. Nagbigay ng pambungad na pananalita si Jomel Robleza, pangulo ng SSLG na sinundan ng mensahe na nagmula sa Punong-g**o ng paaralan na si Gng. Emelyn C. Medrano.

Nagbigay-buhay sa seremonya ang isang pagtatanghal ng kanta mula sa talentadong Grade 8 student na si Zyrhiel D. Capito, na labis na kinagiliwan ng mga Silangonian.

Isa sa mga tampok ng programa ay ang dance competition na nilahukan ng mga mag-aaral mula sa Grade 8 at Grade 9. Nagpakitang-gilas ang mga kalahok sa kanilang husay at pagkamalikhain. Sa kategorya ng folkdance, itinanghal na kampeon ang Grade 8 Amber habang pumangalawa ang Grade 8 Topaz. Samantala, sa kategorya ng festival dance, nasungkit ng Grade 9 Ruby ang unang puwesto, at itinalaga naman bilang pangalawa ang Grade 9 Garnet.

Ipinamalas ng mga nagwaging grupo ang determinasyon, pagkakaisa, at husay sa kanilang pagtatanghal, dahilan upang sila ay kilalanin at ipagbunyi ng buong paaralan.

Ang naturang selebrasyon ay naging matagumpay sa kabila ng mga hamon sa paghahanda. Buong pusong naglaan ng oras ang mga opisyal ng iba’t ibang organisasyon at mga g**o upang maisakatuparan ang programa. Sa kabila nito, napuno ng saya at pagmamahalan ang selebrasyon, na nagsilbing simbolo ng pagkakaisa ng mga Silangonian ngayong Araw ng mga Puso.

February 12, 2025 — BSNHS teachers Ma'am Renalyn D. Odrial , Ma'am Cyra Nicole M. Sayat, and Sir Ruru A. Orolfo conducted an early registration campaign in Bagong Silang Elementary School, Guinayangan Quezon, San Luis II Elementary School , Sta. Monica Elementary School, and Bagong Silang Elementary School, Tagkawayan Quezon, aiming to inspire and encourage incoming Grade 7 students to enroll at Bagong Silang National High School. Through this outreach, they sought to promote the school’s programs and highlight the opportunities awaiting new learners.

The Grade 12 HUMSS students of Bagong Silang National High School (BSNHS) celebrated a significant milestone during the Senior High School Exit Conference and Awarding Ceremony held on January 18 and 20, 2024. The event marked the students' successful completion of 80 hours of work immersion, a vital component of their Senior High School curriculum.
On January 18, six students completed their work immersion at the Tagkawayan Fire Station under the leadership of FSINSP NATHANIEL F AGUILAR, Municipal Fire Marshal. The students gained invaluable hands-on experience in fire safety protocols and community engagement, equipping them with practical knowledge in emergency response and disaster preparedness.
Simultaneously, eight students underwent their work immersion at the Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station, guided by PMAJ JHUN JHUN B BALISI, Chief of Police, with the assistance of PMSg Noimie Antonio. Their immersion in law enforcement operations provided them with meaningful insights into the justice system, public service, and the importance of community safety.
On January 20, ten students successfully completed their immersion at Bagong Silang Elementary School under the supervision of Sir Lloyd Layosa, with support from Ma'am Ma. Teresa Glor, Master Teacher, and the cooperating teachers. The students actively participated in school operations and activities, deepening their understanding of the education sector and its critical role in shaping young minds.
The Exit Conference and Awarding Ceremony celebrated the students’ dedication, resilience, and growth throughout their immersion journey. It also served as a testament to their readiness to embrace future opportunities, armed with practical knowledge and real-world experiences.
The BSNHS community extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Tagkawayan Fire Station, the Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station, and Bagong Silang Elementary School for their unwavering support and commitment to shaping the students’ learning experiences. Your invaluable guidance and mentorship have left a lasting impact, helping our students gain skills, confidence, and inspiration as they prepare for their future endeavors.
