📣 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT — MAYOR’S CUP SEASON 1

Attention all participating teams!

Please be advised that the FINAL SUBMISSION OF TEAM ENTRIES for Mayor’s Cup Season 1 will be on December 8, 2025.

✅ REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Voter’s ID or Voter’s Certification

For high school participants: School ID (S.Y. 2025–2026)

Team Gallery, which must include:
Individual pictures of all team members
Each picture must clearly indicate the name of the individual

🟦 EXEMPTION NOTICE

For employees designated in or working within Kapangan, whether local or national employees, you are EXEMPTED from submitting a Voter’s ID or Voter’s Certification.
You only need to submit your individual picture(s) and indicate the office or agency where you are currently working.

📅 OFFICIAL OPENING DATE
The Mayor’s Cup Season 1 will officially open on December 13, 2025.

All teams are expected to comply with the requirements before the deadline.

Basketball & Volleyball Tournament – Municipality of Kapangan
In partnership with the Sangguniang Bayan Office, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, and Mayat Lawa Basketball League

Kapangan, the excitement continues! As the Mayor’s Cup Season 1 approaches, we are pleased to share important updates for all athletes and supporters.

A new division has officially been added: the High School Basketball Bracket, where teams must represent their school. We also welcome the following confirmed participating schools:

🏀 High School Basketball Teams:
*STHS
*Central National High School
*GBDAIS

We also acknowledge the teams that previously submitted their entries:

🏀 Regular Basketball Bracket:

🏀 40 Years Old & Above Basketball Bracket:

🏐 VOLLEYBALL DIVISIONS:
High School Bracket – Men’s and Women’s divisions (teams must represent their school):

👥 TEAM COMPOSITION:

Maximum of 15 players per team
Teams may form their own team or represent their barangay

📌 PLAYER ELIGIBILITY RULES (UPDATED):
High School players are NOT allowed to play in the Regular Basketball Bracket.

Players in the 40 Years Old & Above Division may play in both the Regular Bracket and the 40s Division.

📅 SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
November 15, 2025 – December 1, 2025

Proof of Eligibility: Voter’s ID or Voter’s Certification

Exceptions:
LGU Kapangan personnel
Employees of National Government Agencies within the municipality (Employee ID or certification required)

📣 ELIGIBILITY NOTICE:
Kapangan residents who are not yet registered voters are encouraged to register with COMELEC to qualify for the tournament and future events.

💵 REGISTRATION FEES (UPDATED):

High School Division: ₱1,000 per team
Ensures teams attend their scheduled games (to avoid disqualification)
Supports proper referee payments
Contributes to High School Division prizes

Regular & 40s Division: ₱2,000 per team
