LOOK: On his fourth day as Acting Chief of the Philippine National Police, Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. convened his first Command Conference today, August 29, 2025, at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The conference was attended by the PNP Command Group, members of the Directorial Staff, and Directors of National Support Units and Police Regional Offices, who gathered to receive the Acting Chief PNP’s initial guidance and marching orders.
In his message, PLTGEN Nartatez presented his Seven-Point Agenda which will serve as the blueprint of his leadership in the coming days. These include: Employing Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO); Sustaining the campaign against illegal drugs, loose fi****ms, and terrorism; Revisiting, improving, and implementing risk management plans at all levels; Reviewing and strengthening security measures for vital installations and other areas of concern; Ensuring effective management of activities, events, festivities, and crowd control; Promoting the morale and welfare of personnel; and Strengthening the efficient management of human, material, and financial resources.
Through these priorities, the Acting Chief PNP stressed the importance of strategic operations, responsive policing, and good governance within the organization. He further emphasized that his leadership will focus on the effective management of resources, personnel, logistics, and finances to ensure a disciplined and people-centered police service.
This Command Conference marked the starting point of PLTGEN Nartatez’s leadership, setting the tone for a more united, efficient, and community-responsive PNP in line with the vision of a Bagong Pilipinas.
