Bitfrost Tournament Report
IGN: XarZuz
Format: Single Elimination, Bo3 Single Deck, with Sidings
Deck: Evil Eye
Rd 1: Bye ⭕⭕
No opponent
Rd 2: Lunalight ⭕⭕
My opponent summoned Leo Dancer, which is both untargetable and indestructible. In response and play around to it, I summoned Nightmare Shark to perform a direct attack for 2000 damage. In the next turn, when my opponent attempted to attack Nightmare Shark, I responded by bouncing Nightmare Shark. Following that, I summoned Nightmare Shark once again and attacked for game. The second game followed a similar pattern.
Rd 3: Raidraptor ⭕⭕
My opponent set up Evolzar Solda and two backrow cards, Chalice and Lance. I play around the board and was able broke their setup. In his turn, with my opponent lacking resources, was not able to recover. Turn 4 I proceeded to pop some of their cards and then attacked for game. In game 2, I went first, set up my field. Although my opponent forced me to use up two of my resources with minimal interaction, I initially thought I might lose. However, I managed to secure a lucky victory with the help of my field spell.
Finals: Dragonlink ❌⭕⭕
Game 1: I drew a lot of hand traps but no starter, so I managed to stall the game out. However, by turn 3, I still hadn't drawn into a starter, and forfeit
Game 2: My opponent assembled a strong board with Lancea, and at that point, I felt like I would only secure second place. Miraculously, I was able to play around their board and break some of it, then setup my own. Then, my opponent seemed to disconnect, resulting in a time limit win for me.
Game 3: I had the opportunity to go first this time and set up my usual board. I had Crow this time, but unfortunately, I misplayed badly by not recognizing that Borrel skill could extend their plays effortlessly with my Crow interaction. Despite my misplays, I was fortunate enough to secure the win and claim the champion placement.
Thank you very much po to the Duel Legacy group for featuring Bitfrost Tournament, especially to Sir Jeff and Sir Christian Layug. I sincerely appreciate and am thankful for the tournament. Well played to my opponents whom I competed against :))
