Bye to the 2019 logo that my 16 year old self created 😂, hello to the 2024 logo that I designed and created and help by AI Dall-e!

I want my new logo to be simpler and more memorable than my old logo, which I deem too childish and messy. That's why I change

Duel Links Rank Report
August 2024
IGN: XarZuz
Deck: Evil Eye
Rank: King of Games

I reached KOG once again with Evil Eye, achieving my 6th consecutive KOG rank in Duel Links while exclusively using Evil Eye. I’m quite satisfied, since I can still use my favorite deck. The ratios are pretty much the same as last time, but I decided to run an additional copy of Basilius. I feel that having one more Basilius is better, since I have more chances of opening it compared to just one, as it extends my plays further. Additionally, I don’t need to recycle it with the Evil Eye field spell effect.

I also included Number 49: Fortune Tune in this format. Fortune Tune serves as a great wall and LP gainer. Since Seraph targets cards, Fortune Tune is the best Rank 3 to go for, providing strong protection that makes it difficult for opponents to remove. The only drawback is its mandatory recycling effect, which can be problematic if I want to keep my Familiar cards in the graveyard, as Fortune Tune shuffles them away. There are only a few times that I endboard with Zeminies, since I was concerned that it can easily be negated by 102 or Chalice.

I also considered using backrow removal cards again due to Seraph and Suship’s strong draw effects that often include backrow staples as part of their board. However, I opted not to include them and instead tried to play around these backrow staples more effectively. I was concerned about drawing backrow removal cards only to end up not using them, unlike Chalice and BOM, which have a higher chance of being useful. I encourage you to try using backrow removal cards over Chalice if you like, as Chalice is not very effective against Suships.

Placement: Champion
Deck: EE
Format: Duel Links, Best of 3, Single Deck / Elimination
Round 1: Lunalight ⭕⭕
Round 2: Blue-Eyes ⭕⭕
Round 3: Tachyon ⭕❌⭕
Game 2: Brick hand, drew almost all my one-offs and had no starter
Round 4: Blue-Eyes ❌⭕⭕
Game 1: Time limit loss despite being in a favorable position to win the first match, as my interruption setup was already in place. Unfortunately, I made a significant misplay with the Prison interaction that also miss the chance of finishing the game off already

Overall, I had a great time participating in the tournament and enjoyed playing with my favorite deck. I’d like to extend my thanks to sir Xatoshi for the PHP 100 prize for champion price. I also want to express my gratitude to all my fellow duelists for the fair and enjoyable matches.

Finally filled my Duel Links last 5 seasons with KOG rank
I started playing Duel Links Ranked in March 2024 when my favorite deck got some new support. I aimed to reach the highest rank and was fortunate to achieve an overall win rate of 69% throughout the journey.

Duel Links Rank Report
IGN: -XarZuz- ID: 875-119-555
Rank: King of Games
Highest Streak: 14
Deck: Evil Eye

I had a 14 win streak with the deck. Evil Eye is still good with proper resource management and effective use of Evil Eye cards being the key. The deck’s removal kits are crucial for winning matches. Yes, there are many stronger decks out there with powerful/broken skills, so if you're not a fan of rogue decks, Evil Eye may not be for you.

Matchups like Unchained can seem difficult, but precise timing with your pop effects can make a big difference. We also have non-destruction removal with EE Defeat. In the Sacred Beast matchup, we can destroy their Sacred Beasts if they attempt to use Fallen Paradise. I use a lot of hand traps, especially Skull Meister, which proves very useful in these matchups, and since the format is fast using handtraps are really good, as they can be use even in turn 0.

I adjusted the Evil Eye ratios, using 1 Selene and 2 Gorgoneio, which seems to be the best setup. I found that a second Selene is rarely needed, as Selene can be recycled from the graveyard.

Overall, I’m very happy to have reached KOG rank again with my favorite deck.
"Link Darkraze is a better skill, but I don’t have it, which is why I’m still using Synchro Stormraze."

Bitfrost Tournament Report
IGN: XarZuz
Format: Single Elimination, Bo3 Single Deck, with Sidings
Deck: Evil Eye

Rd 1: Bye ⭕⭕
No opponent
Rd 2: Lunalight ⭕⭕
My opponent summoned Leo Dancer, which is both untargetable and indestructible. In response and play around to it, I summoned Nightmare Shark to perform a direct attack for 2000 damage. In the next turn, when my opponent attempted to attack Nightmare Shark, I responded by bouncing Nightmare Shark. Following that, I summoned Nightmare Shark once again and attacked for game. The second game followed a similar pattern.
Rd 3: Raidraptor ⭕⭕
My opponent set up Evolzar Solda and two backrow cards, Chalice and Lance. I play around the board and was able broke their setup. In his turn, with my opponent lacking resources, was not able to recover. Turn 4 I proceeded to pop some of their cards and then attacked for game. In game 2, I went first, set up my field. Although my opponent forced me to use up two of my resources with minimal interaction, I initially thought I might lose. However, I managed to secure a lucky victory with the help of my field spell.
Finals: Dragonlink ❌⭕⭕
Game 1: I drew a lot of hand traps but no starter, so I managed to stall the game out. However, by turn 3, I still hadn't drawn into a starter, and forfeit
Game 2: My opponent assembled a strong board with Lancea, and at that point, I felt like I would only secure second place. Miraculously, I was able to play around their board and break some of it, then setup my own. Then, my opponent seemed to disconnect, resulting in a time limit win for me.
Game 3: I had the opportunity to go first this time and set up my usual board. I had Crow this time, but unfortunately, I misplayed badly by not recognizing that Borrel skill could extend their plays effortlessly with my Crow interaction. Despite my misplays, I was fortunate enough to secure the win and claim the champion placement.

Thank you very much po to the Duel Legacy group for featuring Bitfrost Tournament, especially to Sir Jeff and Sir Christian Layug. I sincerely appreciate and am thankful for the tournament. Well played to my opponents whom I competed against :))
