Sometimes the hardest part about sleeping isn’t being tired—it’s knowing exactly how much sleep you could be getting, then watching that number disappear minute by minute. 😭
You lie down thinking, “Okay, if I sleep right now, I can still get 7 hours.” Then 20 minutes pass… 6 hours and 40 minutes. You check the time again. Another 30 minutes… 6 hours and 10 minutes. At that point, you’re no longer trying to sleep—you’re doing advanced mathematics in your head. 😂
And the more you think about how little sleep you’re going to get, the harder it becomes to actually fall asleep. Your brain suddenly decides that 2 AM is the perfect time to remember every embarrassing thing you’ve ever done, replay random conversations, plan your entire future, and worry about tomorrow. 🫠
Eventually you’re just lying there staring at the ceiling like, “Well… I guess we’re surviving on whatever minutes are left.” 😭
The real enemy isn’t even the lack of sleep anymore—it’s checking the clock. Because every time you look, your remaining sleep gets lower and your anxiety gets higher. 😂
So yeah… sometimes the best thing you can do is stop calculating, put the phone away, close your eyes, and let your brain finally shut down.
Goodnight to everyone who said “I’ll sleep early tonight” and somehow ended up negotiating with the clock at 2 AM. 😭💀🌙
