We did have a chance to visit this beautiful town.
📍 Alimodian: A Heritage Town Worth Discovering
From a humble barrio of Oton to becoming the Banana Capital of Western Visayas—Alimodian has quite a story to tell!
Founded in 1754, this town is home to the historic Santo Tomás de Villanueva Church, once known for having the tallest bell tower in the region. Though damaged by the 1948 earthquake, its restored charm still stands proud today.
At the heart of the town is the heritage-declared plaza, where the Municipal Hall, Rizal monument, and Bonifacio statue remind us of our rich history.
Oh, and did we mention they grow strawberries here too?
Come for the history, stay for the charm!
