Nag-viral online ang isang lalaki mula Brazil matapos niyang tapusin ang isang 8-kilometrong fun run sa kabila ng pagiging hindi handa sa karera.

Ayon sa mga ulat, nagising umano siya sa mismong lugar ng event matapos ang magdamag na inuman. Sa halip na umuwi, nakisabay siya sa takbo ng mga kalahok kahit naka-tsinelas lamang at hirap pa sa kanyang kondisyon.

Sa kabila ng mga hamon, hindi siya sumuko at nagpatuloy hanggang marating ang finish line, dahilan upang palakpakan siya ng mga manonood.
Dahil sa kanyang kakaibang determinasyon, binigyan pa siya ng medalya bilang pagkilala sa kanyang pagsisikap.

Here at Batanes Boulder Beach Bay, we discovered another Honesty Store. Dito ka talaga mabibilib sa mga Ivatan and how they put so much trust in other people. Walang bantay, walang nagmo monitor, yet everyone still chooses to be honest and pay the right amount.

It’s one of those simple things na mas lalong nagpapaganda sa Batanes hindi lang dahil sa views and peaceful surroundings, but because of the people and their culture. Mapapaisip ka talaga how rare and genuine that kind of trust is nowadays. ☝️

Day 23 in Batanes - 2 days before we return to Manila, naglibot ulit kami habang maganda pa ang panahon. Baka kasi pagbalik namin, hindi na namin ma-enjoy because of the upcoming rainy season dito.

And you know, Batanes is Batanes. Kahit paulit-ulit mong balikan ang mga tourist spots, you will never be disappointed. Parang every visit feels brand new, at kahit tirik ang araw, kahit sunog na ang mukha kakalibot, go lang and just wander ☝️

Now I finally understand the feeling of working far from home.
Even if I’m still in our own country, being assigned in the field for weeks or even months without going home feels heavy in ways I never expected.

Little by little, it feels like time is being stolen from you.
You miss the simple moments that matter the most , watching your baby grow, attending family gatherings, sharing meals together, celebrating small victories, and simply being present for the people you love.

There are days when work demands everything from you, and while you’re busy building a future for your family, you also realize you’re missing parts of the present with them.
You can’t do side hustles, you can’t spend quality time with loved ones, and sometimes all you want after a long exhausting day is to hug your family… but distance won’t allow it.

This kind of work teaches sacrifice in the hardest way possible.
It teaches you how strong people become just to provide, even when their hearts are quietly breaking from missing home.

To everyone working far away from their families , whether for weeks, months, or years

I see your sacrifices.
One day, all this hard work will be worth it. ❤️
