LARGE AND RED CELESTIAL OBJECT SPOTTED IN THE SKY OVER TORONTO, CANADA — SCIENTISTS BAFFLED
It was neither the sun nor the moon. Residents of Toronto, Canada were stunned when they spotted a large, reddish, and shadowy object in the sky during the early morning of June 3.
According to reports, “The glowing sphere, described by witnesses as ‘otherworldly’ and ‘apocalyptic,’ was seen hovering low on the horizon, just above the skyline near downtown.” The sighting lasted for approximately 45 minutes, from 5:20 AM to 6:05 AM local time.
Various videos and images of the said celestial object have since gone viral on social media.
“It was like a scene from a sci-fi movie,” said a jogger, Alyssa Cannavero, who witnessed the strange object. “At first, I thought it was the rising sun, but it was too large, too red, and completely still.”
According to authorities in Toronto, they are unaware of any known celestial bodies or atmospheric anomalies that could explain the phenomenon. “We are investigating the incident in coordination with Environment Canada and several astronomical agencies,” stated Chief Meteorologist James Stuart. “At this time, we cannot definitively identify the object.”
Astronomers are also unsure of what it is. “From a scientific standpoint, this is unprecedented,” said Dr. Thomas Jefferson of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. “We have no record of any object with this appearance or scale manifesting so close to Earth’s surface without prior detection.”
