When Clients Ask: “Do You Have Experience?” 🫠🫨
Let’s be real..
Nakakakaba marinig ‘to sa discovery call.
Pero hindi mo kailangan magpanic. You don’t need client experience to show you’re capable.
What you need is preparation + proof of initiative.
So, here’s how you can answer with confidence:
✅ Verbiage #1:
“I haven’t worked with an official client yet, but I’ve been practicing daily using [tool name], and I’ve created mock projects to apply what I’m learning.”
→ Hindi ka pa hired, pero pinraktis mo na.
This tells the client you’re proactive — not just waiting for experience to happen, but creating it through mock work.
✅ Sample Verbiage #2:
“I don’t have direct client experience yet, but I’ve created a mini portfolio with sample outputs that reflect the kind of work I’d do for real clients.”
→ Hindi ka lang nag-aral kundi gumawa ka rin ng proof.
You’re showing the client that you’re capable of turning learning into action, which is very hireable behavior.
This works especially if you include Canva designs, captions, admin task samples, or email drafts.
✅ Verbiage #3:
“I’ve taken courses in [tool or skill], and while I haven’t had a client project yet, I’ve already started building systems and workflows for myself using what I learned.”
→ Clients love this: You’re not starting from scratch.
It means kahit di ka pa “expert,” eh may alam ka na. And you’re not afraid to take initiative and explore tools on your own.
✅ Verbiage #4:
“I’ve been following [industry/niche] pages and replicating how things are done to understand the standards better.”
→ Hindi ka surface-level learner. You study what works, and use it to refine your approach which shows curiosity, independence, and self-leadership.
✅ Verbiage #5:
“I’ve been preparing by joining webinars, learning the tools you use, and simulating real tasks. I’m serious about starting this the right way.”
→ Prepared ka hindi lang sa tools, kundi pati sa mindset at professionalism. That’s next-level readiness.
