Not All That Sparkles Is Worth Chasing ✨

Minsan, hawak mo na yung totoong gold —
pero dahil hindi siya kasing kinang ng iba,
parang ang dali niyang i-let go.

Hindi flashy. Hindi uso. Hindi “aesthetic.”
Pero when the time comes…
Siya pala yung may bigat. Siya pala yung may tunay na value. 💰

Samantalang yung sobrang kintab?
Ang ganda lang sa panlabas.
Basag na baso lang pala. 🤡
All sparkle. No substance.

That’s Shiny Object Syndrome.

Jumping from one trend to another.
Laging may bagong tool, bagong offer, bagong “easy win.”

Pero hindi lahat ng shiny ay sustainable.
Hindi lahat ng madali ay worth it in the long run.

In business, career, or even life —

Ilang beses mo na bang nasabi ‘yan sa sarili mo?

Kung parent ka na ngayon—or magiging parent ka pa lang—imagine mo ‘yung araw na ang kita ng anak mo ay para sa sarili nilang pangarap, hindi para tumulong sa mga bayarin natin.

Hindi para maging katuwang sa pagtaguyod ng pamilya habang bata pa sila.

Hindi para balikatin ang responsibilidad na sana, tayo muna ang gumawa ng paraan.

Let’s break the sandwich generation.
Para tayo mismo ang maging huling henerasyong nagsimula sa hirap.

Simple joy of this mompreneur: new rice cooker 😂 to match our soon-to-be renovated kitchen😁 kaya naman para di agad magamit, nag wrap muna kami kagabi hahaha! With madaming gulay and chicken fillet. Kids loved it and so did I!

Love ko talaga yung mga ganitong chill na gabi—simple lang, pero puno ng kwento, tawanan, at bonding.

After ko ihatid ang mga bata sa school kanina, normally diretso na ako sa chores, sa part-time job ko, or I work on my digital business.

Pero today… I chose to slow down. 🧘‍♀️
Naglakad-lakad ako sa Leiden city centre — ang sarap ng hangin, ang ganda ng paligid. Grabbed my favorite breakfast from my go-to café ☕🥐 and enjoyed some well-deserved me time.

Nakabili rin ako ng bagong water shoes for Arthur kasi sabi niya di na comfy yung hand-me-down niya from kuya. 😅 Simple joy for him, proud mama moment for me. 💖

Ngayon, time to pick them up again and off to swimming lessons. 🏊‍♂️

Ganito ang life when you’re your own boss — may time for the little moments, may konting luho for yourself and your kids, at hindi ka na laging nagmamadali.

💜 Perks of having a side hustle that gives time and income freedom.

People want to see you win… but not do better than them.

Some don’t really hate your success —
they just hate that you didn’t quit like they did.
Because your wins exposed their excuses.

They cheer for you on the way up,
because in that moment, you remind them of who they used to be.
But once you make it?
That’s when things change.
You start to notice a shift — even from the ones who once supported you.

Why?
Because now, you don’t just inspire them…
You remind them of what they gave up on.

Truth is, it’s not always hate.
Most of the time, it’s regret dressed as criticism.

That’s when I learned something valuable:
The people who truly want to see you win
are the ones still clapping — even when the crowd gets quiet.

I learned to measure loyalty,
not just by who was there during the struggle,
but by who stayed loud when I succeeded.

➡️ Di raw mabubuhay nang walang cellphone.

Pero… aminin natin, may mga boomers at millennials din naman na ganyan. 😂

Ako? I see something powerful in Gen Z at Gen Alpha.

🔥 They’re not waiting until retirement or 10 years of job experience para magsimulang kumita. They’re already changing the game pagdating sa income generation!

📱 Earning while playing Roblox
📦 Getting paid to unbox toys on YouTube
🎥 Reviewing products on TikTok

👉 Hindi sila takot mag-execute.
👉 Hindi sila naka-attach sa mindset na “mahirap kumita ng pera.”

For them,
💸 Money is just a skill to learn.
And that shift in mindset? Game changer. 💯

So next time may magsabi ng
“Hay nako, iba na talaga mga kabataan ngayon…”

Just smile 😊
