LOOK | MathSci Fusion 2026: Talent meets Math and Science

The Science Club, in collaboration with the Math Club, spearheaded MathSci Week: Fusion 2026 with the theme “Unlocking Potential through Math and Science” at LCC Silvercrest’s Carlos R. Mojares Gymnasium on February 5. This event aimed to showcase the students’ talents and knowledge in math and science.

Hosted by Sir Warren J. Malaluan and Ma’am Ara M. Rogel, the program began with a prayer led by Math Club President Ms. Elianna Endaya, followed by the National Anthem, led by Sir Joshua Juezan. The Lipeño Hymn was conducted by Ma’am Alondra Manago, and an energizing Zumba session was led by the MathSci Club officers. Opening remarks by school principal Ms. Rosalinda Mercado set a motivating tone for the day.

The day’s competitions highlighted impressive talent and teamwork. In the MathSci Trail, Theourues Briliantigers took first place, followed by Solar Pielement and Brown Ozone Bear-iables. The Quiz Bee held at the auditorium crowned Pinkbonacci Sciquence as champion, with Theourues Briliantigers and Red Catalysts as runners-up.

The highlight of the event, Mr. and Ms. Fusion 2026, began with a lively intermission number by the LCC Silvercrest Dance Group, followed by the introduction of candidates from six teams. The candidates participated in the Faces of the Geniuses pageant, runway presentations, and an eco-friendly stage presentation. Musical performances by Jeff Ivhan Carandang and Princess Ac Manabat added to the festivities. During the Q&A, candidates discussed important topics such as integrity, environmental responsibility, and the significance of math and science.

Special awards recognized outstanding participants: Ralph Iñigo Magnaye from the Pinkbonacci Sciquence and Marie Gengos from the Celestian Arc received Best in Production Number and Best in Faces of Geniuses; Michael Hugh Ramirez from the Theourues Briliantigers and Samantha Lugos from the Pinkbonacci Sciquence were awarded People’s Choice; and Kiel Franco De Los Santos and Naomi Jill Paquinto, both from the Solar Pielement, earned Best Eco-Friendly Costume.

The event concluded with the announcement of the Mr. and Ms. Fusion 2026 winners—Kiel Franco De Los Santos of the Solar Pielement and Rhianna Francheska Guevarra of the Theourues Briliantigers, respectively. Ma’am Myla Silva, along with Sir Angelo Landicho, closed the celebration by thanking everyone for making MathSci Week 2026 a success.
