Negros Oriental State University Bayawan-Sta. Catalina Campus concluded its Intramurals 2025 with an awarding ceremony held at the gymnasium on April 2, 2025 under the guidance of the Sports and Athletic Coordinator NORSU-BSC Prof. Jonas S. Gako, RCRIM., MSCJ,
April Loed Mendoza Arnaiz, RCRIM., MSCJ, CSG adviser and CCJE faculty member, delivered the welcome remarks, expressing gratitude to all participants. Dr. Arnel Yurfo, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), followed with an inspirational message.
The ceremony, hosted by the Student Government and led by Campus Student Government President Jestoni A. Torrevilla, was attended by deans, faculty, staff, athletes, and students.
Brent Andy L. Asuncion from the College of Industrial Technology (CIT) and Maurice O. Valor from the College of Teacher Education (CTED) were crowned Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025, respectively, standing out for their exceptional qualities.
The first runner-up for Mr. Intramurals came from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), while the first runner-up for Ms. Intramurals hailed from CIT. The second runners-up for both titles came from the College of Criminal Justice and Education (CCJE). The third runner-up for Mr. Intramurals was from CTED, while the third runner-up for Ms. Intramurals represented the College of Business Administration (CBA). The fourth runner-up for Mr. Intramurals came from CBA, while the fourth runner-up for Ms. Intramurals was from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The fifth runner-up for both Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025 represented the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF).
The awarding ceremony, which recognized athletes from bronze to gold, concluded with the recognition of the top-performing athletes. The College of Industrial Technology (CIT) emerged as the overall champion in the medal tally. The College of Criminal Justice and Education (CCJE) secured second place, while the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) claimed third place.
The event was a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and perseverance. Heartfelt closing remarks were delivered by Allan H. Ege, RCRIM., MSCJ, acting head of HR and CCJE faculty member. His words emphasized how determination and fair competition made the event truly remarkable
