Iloilo 3rd District Board Member Mark Palabrica graced the inauguration and blessing of the Cabatuan Senior Citizens Community Care Center (SC3C), the 1st in Western Visayas and the 2nd established in the entire Philippines, made possible under the leadership of Mayor Elizalde “Doc Boboy” Pueyo with the support of different stakeholders.

The event today was also supported by Regional Director Ann Rapunzel Ganzon of the NCSC, guests and local officials.

|| Iloilo 3rd District Board Member Mark Palabrica delivered 5 Committee Reports as Chairman of the Committee on Human Resources, Sponsored a Resolution Commending the GUINTAPAGIN ARC of Bingawan, Iloilo as National Awardee of DAR and was approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Authored a Provincial Ordinance on Slow Food and was presented for 1st reading, and welcomed his constituents and Barangay Officials from Bingawan, Calinog, Cabatuan, Badiangan (accompanied by SB Member Mayo Hupanda) and Maasin in his office this week at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

Still undefeated this school year and the winning streak continues as CenterPhil destroyed Hua Siong’s Home Court advantage. The High School Basketball Team of CenterPhil Montessori put down Hua Siong 79-78 this evening at the Iloilo Schools Sports Developmental League (ISSDL) 2025 held at Hua Siong Gym, Iloilo City.

Despite recovering from a hangover of the recently-concluded DepEd Janiuay, Iloilo Municipal Meet where they emerged as 14-Peat Champions, the coach Ozting Oro mentored CenterPhil SilverKnights, never paid attention to the ISSDL venue giving advantage to an opposing team, plus the noisy drums and chants of Hua Siong audience inside their campus and instead relied on their 3-point firepower led by Bingawan, Iloilo-native, Edrian Job Somejo, who made 5 crucial 3-point shots in the 4th quarter. A good learning experience for the team to win in the opponent’s turf.

CenterPhil now ranks No. 1 in its bracket at the end of the elimination round with a perfect 4-0 Win-Loss record in ISSDL.

The Late Romeo Oremo is the father of former SB Member, Former ABC President and Former Agusipan Punong Barangay Russel Oremo and former SB Member and former SK President Guilfred Oremo of Badiangan, Iloilo.
