Marinating the Pork:
1. Slice the pork lengthwise. You can also cut it into small cubes if you want it to look like regular BBQ.
2. Set the meat aside and place it in a strainer to remove excess water.
3. Prepare your marinade (see below) and soak the pork in it.
4. Let it marinate for 1β2 hours, or overnight for a stronger flavor.
---
Marinade Mixture:
a. 5 tbsp soy sauce
b. 2 tbsp oyster sauce
c. 2 tbsp ketchup
d. 1 tbsp garlic powder
e. 1 whole garlic (chopped)
f. 1 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
g. A pinch of salt and Magic Sarap (optional)
h. Mix well until everything is combined
---
Cooking Procedure:
1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
2. SautΓ© garlic until it becomes slightly golden and fragrant.
3. Add the marinated pork (including a bit of the sauce).
4. Cook until the meat changes color, then cover and let it simmer.
5. Once the pork starts to release its own oil and the sauce thickens, add a bit of sugar to balance the flavor (optional).
6. Stir occasionally to avoid burning, and let it cook until the pork becomes tender and the sauce turns slightly sticky.
7. Add chili (siling labuyo or siling haba) if you want a little kick of spice.
8. When the sauce reaches your desired consistency, turn off the heat.
Served and Enjoy!!! Happy eating my LOVES π«Άβ¨
