Identify Your Starting Point

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is jumping into exercise without understanding their own body’s limits. Before you begin, take a moment to assess your flexibility, mobility, and balance. This simple check-in will help you progress safely and effectively! 💪✨

Here’s how to do it ⬇️

1. Flexibility Check: Try reaching toward your toes while standing or sitting. See how far down you can comfortably reach. Note any tightness in your hamstrings or lower back.
2. Mobility Check: Perform a basic bodyweight squat. How deep can you go? Do your knees, hips, or ankles feel stiff or restricted?
3. Balance Check: Stand on one leg for 10-15 seconds. Are you able to maintain balance, or do you wobble?

By identifying your starting point, you can build a routine that feels good and works for YOU. Small, mindful steps lead to lasting progress. 🌟

Hello friends! A brand new year for all of us and also a perfect time to do brand new habits, specifically to improve your physical wellbeing 😊 here is something for you to start your day and I hope it sets the rest of it in a positive note!

The 5-Minute Morning Stretch Routine

Kickstart your day with a short, gentle stretch routine to wake up your muscles and joints. This can be done right after getting out of bed, requiring only 5 minutes.

What to Do:

1. Neck Rolls (30 seconds each direction): Slowly roll your head in a circular motion to release tension in the neck and shoulders.
2. Shoulder Shrugs (30 seconds): Lift your shoulders up towards your ears, then slowly roll them back and down. Repeat.
3. Seated Forward Bend (1 minute): While sitting on the edge of your bed, bend forward and try to reach toward your toes (or as far as you can comfortably go). This stretches the lower back, hamstrings, and calves.
4. Cat-Cow Pose (1 minute): Get on your hands and knees, arching your back upward (cat), then lowering your belly and lifting your head (cow). This is great for spine mobility.
5. Standing Quad Stretch (1 minute each leg): While holding onto something for balance, gently pull one ankle towards your glutes to stretch the front of your thigh.
