📊 Hardest Board Exams in the Philippines (by Passing Rate)

🔴 Very Low Passing Rate (20–35%)

1. CPA Licensure Exam (Accountancy)

Passing rate sometimes drops to 14–20% only.

Known as “pahirapan ng PRC.”

2. Bar Exam (Law)

Average passing rate: 20–30%.

Some years below 20%, though recent years were higher (40–50%).

3. Electronics Engineer (ECE) Licensure Exam

Passing rate: 25–35%.

Heavy computations, electronics + communications combined.

4. Agriculture Licensure Exam (LEA) 🌱

🐌 I have been receiving a lot of messages from gardeners on how to control the Giant African Snail (GAS). Please note the following:

▪️Proper Handling - Use gloves when collecting snails.

▪️Bleach Solution – Mix 2 cups of bleach in 1 gallon of water, place snails in and cover for 24 hours (drowning).

▪️Salt Solution – Mix quarter (1/4) cup salt in 1 gallon of water, place snails in and cover for 24 hours (drowning).

▪️Dehydrate – Place up to 10 snails in a plastic bag, add quarter (1/4) cup salt to the bag, tie and leave for at least 24 hours.

▪️Snail Bait – Iron Phosphate and 4% Metaldehyde are both pellets that can be purchased at your local Agro Shops/Home Depots which can be used by applying to the surface of the soil. Follow the manufacturers directions.

▪️Organic Pesticides – Mix Organeem (15mls) + Aramite (15mls) in a gallon of water, shake and spray directly on snails. Organeem is an Organic/Botanical Insecticide made from Neem Oil and OMRI approved for Organic Gardening. Aramite is an Organic/Botanical Insecticide made from Cinnamon Oil and Clove Oil and OMRI approved for Organic Gardening.

▪️Dispose – Snails can be buried two (2) feet in the ground, or placed in heavy duty garbage bags, or burnt in a barrel.

▪️Health Hazard - Do not consume the Giant African Snails. They are known to be a host for the rat lungworm which may cause Meningitis by ingesting raw or inadequately cooked snails. They can also harbour bacteria such as Salmonella which can cause food poisoning.
