We donโ€™t claim to have discovered this dive site, local spearfishermen have known it long before us. Today, we simply give it a name and share it with the diving community.

๐“‘๐“ช๐“ต๐“ช๐”‚ ๐“š๐“ช๐“ฝ๐“ช๐”€ ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธ
โ€œ๐“‘๐“ช๐“ต๐“ช๐”‚โ€ means home, and โ€œ๐“š๐“ช๐“ฝ๐“ช๐”€โ€ is the Waray term for a mermaidโ€”a powerful figure in Eastern Samar folklore. Itโ€™s also the reason behind our name, ๐“š๐“ช๐“ฝ๐“ช๐”€ ๐“•๐“ป๐“ฎ๐“ฎ๐“ญ๐“ฒ๐“ฟ๐“ฎ๐“ป๐“ผ, because in the water, we feel like we belong.

We added this location on Google Maps so it can be properly identified, respected, and shared responsibly within the diving communityโ€”especially for those who want to explore it.

Explored on April 25, 2026, this marks our first named dive siteโ€”our starting point to something bigger.
