We need to Pray for:
God's Glory and Kingdom
- God's name to be honored: Pray for God's kingdom to advance on Earth, reflecting His love and obedience to His laws.
- God's will to be done: Ask for God's will to be accomplished, which involves living in a way that is pleasing to Him as revealed in Scripture.
For Our Spiritual Needs
- Forgiveness: Pray for forgiveness of your own sins and for the ability to forgive others, as Jesus taught.
- Protection from temptation: Ask God to deliver you from temptation and help you resist evil.
- Wisdom and understanding: Pray for spiritual knowledge, revelation, and the wisdom to understand God's will.
- The Holy Spirit: Request the impartation and empowerment of the Holy Spirit for spiritual growth and gifts.
For Daily Needs and Support
- Daily provision: Ask for "daily bread," which encompasses all your physical needs.
- Healing and comfort: Pray for the healing and comfort of fellow believers.
For Others
- Government authorities: Pray for those in positions of authority.
- Missionaries and the spread of the gospel: Pray for laborers to be sent into the harvest and for the word of God to advance.
- Our enemies: Jesus commanded us to pray for our enemies.
For a Right Heart and Attitude
- Thanksgiving and praise: Start by praising God for who He is and thanking Him for His blessings.
- Confession and a pure heart: Confess your sins and ask God for a pure heart.
Humility, kindness, and hope: Pray for qualities like humility, kindness, hope, and courage to be developed in your life.
