READ AND SHARE!!! Dumadalas ang earthquake. Dapat alam mo.
During an earthquake, your main goal is to protect yourself from falling objects and stay safe until the shaking stops.
Here’s what to do depending on where you are 👇
⸻
🏠 If You’re Indoors
1. DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON
• DROP to your hands and knees (to avoid being knocked over).
• COVER your head and neck under a sturdy table or desk.
• HOLD ON until the shaking stops.
2. Stay away from:
• Windows, mirrors, and glass.
• Heavy furniture, shelves, or hanging objects that could fall.
• Kitchen appliances or cabinets that might open.
3. Stay inside until the shaking stops and it’s safe to go out.
• Most injuries happen when people run outside during shaking.
⸻
🏢 If You’re in a Tall Building
• Move away from windows and glass walls.
• Do not use elevators.
• Take cover under a sturdy desk or against an interior wall.
⸻
🚗 If You’re in a Vehicle
• Stop in a safe place — away from overpasses, bridges, buildings, trees, and power lines.
• Stay inside the car with your seatbelt on until the shaking stops.
• Avoid stopping in tunnels or under bridges.
⸻
🏫 If You’re in School or Office
• Follow “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.”
• Stay where you are until instructed to evacuate.
• Move to open areas only after the shaking ends.
⸻
🌳 If You’re Outdoors
• Move to an open area away from buildings, trees, streetlights, and power lines.
• Stay there until the shaking stops.
• Be alert for falling debris.
⸻
⚠️ After the Earthquake
1. Check yourself and others for injuries.
2. Be ready for aftershocks.
3. Turn off gas, electricity, or water if you suspect leaks or damage.
4. Use your phone only for emergencies.
5. Stay updated via battery-powered radio or government alerts.
6. Evacuate calmly if instructed by authorities.
