Sa latest video na ibinahagi ng showbiz insider na si Ogie Diaz sa kaniyang YouTube channel, inihayag ni Derek ang kaniyang saloobin kaugnay sa isyung kinasangkutan ng kaniyang malapit na kaibigan na si Pernilla Sjoo.
"She (Pernilla) is happily in a relationship.
She did not do it with the intent to hurt Andi. She didn't do it to steal.
Kung galit ka (Andi), may karapatan ka magalit pero harapin mo partner mo, huwag mo ilagay sa publiko... With your influence, with your followers, you don't know how a post like that can really destroy someone.
Ang nakakainis pa dito nag-comment na finally itong si Philmar. And what does he say? 'Okay na kami... Sana okay na rin kayo.'
Hindi ako okay. Kasi 'yung kaibigan ko na kaibigan mo rin, sinaktan mo hindi ka manlang mag-apologize... Why don't you have a decency and show some respect to Pernilla and clear her name?
She's close to me and Ellen. I can sleep in the same bed with Pernilla and my wife would not doubt. That's how close we are to her. Tunay na kaibigan si Pernilla and she proved that to Philmar and even to Andi.
It's an irresponsible posting. Think before you act 'cause the repercussions are so big.

Hindi kita kaaway Andi. Hindi kita kaaway Philmar. Ang inaano ko lang, mali 'yung ginawa niyo. Andi, you should have not posted it and said what you said. Philmar, you should have handled that in private. The problem you got a tattoo with Pern, that's 80% your fault and for you not to have the balls to stand up and say 'It's all on me, I wronged my wife, I wronged my friend.' Own it and maybe I will have some respect for you."
