Gipahibawo sa Biliran Electric Cooperative (BILECO) nga motaas na sab ang ilang singil sa kuryente.

Ang average rate sa residential customers sa pagkakaron kay naa na sa P18.7778/kWh.

Matud pa sa BILECO ang hinungdan sa pagsaka sa presyo sa kuryente. Gikan sa pagsogod sa tuig 2022 naapektuhan ang mga generation companies sa pagsaka sa demand sa coal-fueled generation power tungod sa pagnihit sa suplay sa renewable energy og liquified natural gas (LNG) sa Europe hinungdan nga mingsaka usab ang presyo sa pag-angkat sa coal fuel nga maoy gigamit sa mga planta sa Pilipinas aron sa pag-generate og kuryente nga isuplay sa mga distribution utilities sama ni BILECO. Ang pag-ulbo sa kagubot tali sa Russia og Ukraine hinungdan usab nga nagnihit ang suplay sa LNG sa ubang nasud tungod sa pagsara sa mga gas pipelines og mga sanctions nga gipagawas batok sa Russia.

Busa gihangyo ang mga konsumedores sa BILECO sa pagkonserba sa kuryente og gamiton lamang kini kung kinahanglanon gayud aron dili madak-an sa atong binuwan nga balaydonon niini.
