this is my baby trying to soothe himself to sleep. some might say i should just let him, to teach independence. but as a first-time stay-at-home mom, i just can’t bear to watch him like this.

he needs Mama and Mama is here.

because i know this season won’t last forever. one day, he won’t need to be held to fall asleep anymore. so for now, i’ll hold him a little longer, soak in these quiet moments, and choose closeness over rushing independence. i’d rather savor this while I still can.
