MBC's 'The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract' quickly responded to the controversy over the theft of the hanbok design.
On December 12, an official from MBC's drama 'The Story of Park's Marriage Contract' told regarding the controversy over the theft of the hanbok design, "We apologized to the company in question and an amicable agreement was reached."
Earlier on this day, the hanbok brand Living Hanbok Lisle said through social media, "The Lisle design was stolen from the popular drama 'TSOPMC'. It was a collection shown at Milan Fashion Week," and "They officially requested its use, even if it was only for a brief scene. He raised the issue, saying, "I would have happily responded, but the copyright awareness is very unfortunate. Should I be happy that it was used in a popular drama?"
Lisle's side then asked, "It is said that shooting props that are sketched once like this are sometimes reused later on. That would be a big problem," and "You didn't think it was okay to use the design secretly, right? You used it by mistake because it was pretty, right?".
