"LAHAT BA NG MANANAMPALATAYA AY PARI?"
----Mapagpalang araw, mga "Kay Kristo"! Marahil nakatagpo kayo ng mga tao sa kaibayong mga pananampalataya na nagsasabing hindi na raw kailangan ang orden ng pagkapari sapagkat lahat daw ng mga mananampalataya ay pari na raw.
Bilang Kristiyano, sa pamamagitan ng bawtismo, totoo namang nakiisa tayo sa misyon ni Cristo bilang pari, hari at propeta ng Dios.
Ayon sa Katekismo ng Iglesia Katolika...
"The baptized have become "living stones" to be "built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood." By Baptism they share in the priesthood of Christ, in his prophetic and royal mission. They are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, that [they] may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called [them] out of darkness into his marvelous light." Baptism gives a share in the common priesthood of all believers."
(Catechism of the Catholic Church # 1268)
Subalit, hindi natin maitatangging sa ating Iglesya ay mayroong mga tinatawag na "minesterial priests" o "ordinadong mga pari" na espesyal na naglilingkod para sa Dios sa kadahilanang sila ay nagmimisa at nagsasagawa ng mga Sakramento.
"The ministerial or hierarchical priesthood of bishops and priests, and the common priesthood of all the faithful participate, "each in its own proper way, in the one priesthood of Christ." While being "ordered one to another," they differ essentially. In what sense? While the common priesthood of the faithful is exercised by the unfolding of baptismal grace --a life of faith, hope, and charity, a life according to the Spirit--, the ministerial priesthood is at the service of the common priesthood. It is directed at the unfolding of the baptismal grace of all Christians. The ministerial priesthood is a means by which Christ unceasingly builds up and leads his Church. For this reason it is transmitted by its own sacrament, the sacrament of Holy Orders."

Bagamat ginagamit ng ibang sekta ang 1 Pedro 2:9, hindi nila alam na ang talatang iyon ay binase sa Griyegong salin ng Exodo 19:6.
Bagamat sinabi iyon ng Panginoon, pumili pa rin Siya ng mga taong oordinahan bilang mga paring kakaiba mula sa mga karaniwang alagad. Pinili Niya si Aaron at ang kanyang mga anak bilang mga paring naglilingkod sa Kanyang Templo.(Exodo 28:1)
Kung pumili ang Dios ng mga taong gagawim niyang tagapaglingkod na pari sa Templo, may posibilidad na sa Kapanahunang Kristiyano, pumili rin siya ng mga taong gagawin niyang pari. Kaya, hindi katakataka na kahit si Pablo ay naninilbihan bilang pari.(Roma 15:16)
