The Scariest Part of Healthcare in the Philippines πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ | An American's Opinion

What scares me most about healthcare in the Philippines?

It's not the public hospitals.
It's not the cost of private hospitals.

It's something much more basic that I always took for granted in America.

After living in the Philippines for years, this is one of the biggest differences in healthcare that really makes me think.

And to be clear, the doctors and nurses I've encountered have been absolutely amazing. This is about the healthcare system and my personal experience as an American living in the Philippines.

What do you think? πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ‘‡

7 Foreigners Killed in the Philippines in 90 Days β€” Should Expats Be Worried? πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

At least 7 foreign nationals have been killed in the Philippines in the past 90 days.

Some involved robbery, some may have been personal or business-related, and in some cases the motive is still unknown.

But with several foreigners being killed in different parts of the Philippines, it raises an important question:

Should expats living in the Philippines be worried?

I'm not making this video to scare anyone or say that foreigners are being targeted. I just want to look at the facts and talk about what these cases actually mean for foreigners living here.

What do you think? Are these isolated incidents, or is there something expats should be paying more attention to?

Philippine Doctors & Nurses Are NOT the Problem πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ₯

Whether it’s a public or private hospital, I’ve found the doctors and nurses in the Philippines to be great.

The medical staff is not the issue. The biggest differences between public and private hospitals are usually the facilities, equipment, testing, and overall resources available.

The doctors and nurses? I have a lot of respect for them. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡β€οΈ

Everyday Life in the Philippines πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ | Morning at Carmen Public Market

Morning walk through Carmen Public Market in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Experience the sights and sounds of the market, with fresh fruits, vegetables, huge tuna, and all the ingredients you need to make your meals for the day.

For me, the public market is one of the best places to visit in the morning if you want to see everyday life in the Philippines and pick up fresh ingredients at the same time.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ˜‚ Life Married to a Filipina

So I told my wife I finally figured out why I miss her every time she goes to work..

I must have Stockholm syndrome. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ She looked at me like she was trying to decide whether to laugh or prove my theory. 🀣

She leaves for work and instead of enjoying the peace and quiet, suddenly I’m sitting around the house thinking:

β€œI wonder how her work is going?”
β€œI wonder when she’ll be home?”
β€œI kinda miss her…” πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Then it hit me...

I’ve become emotionally attached to my captor. 🀣🀣🀣

After all these years married to a Filipina, I guess Stockholm syndrome is just part of the package. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡β€οΈπŸ˜‚

Anybody else married to a Filipina understand? πŸ˜‚

Would I Choose a Private or Public Hospital in the Philippines? πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ₯

For me, it depends on the situation.

For everyday things, I’m perfectly fine with a public hospital. But if it’s life-threatening or I need major surgery, I would choose a private hospital.

That’s just my personal choice based on the situation. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡
