This is a new chapter and adventure in my life here im my new home Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines. I have had many roles in life. I have worked as a cook, worked in textiles, been a sailor, a soldier, an aircraft mechanic, worked in a bakery, been a husband and father. I have seen a big part of the world traveled lived and explored many places. But the Philippines has captured my attention more

than any other. The best and most friendly people I have ever meet. Some of the best food and hands down the most beautiful country I have found with so many natural wonders to see and explore. The people of the Philippines the culture the hardships the happiness of everyday people I meet and interact with. I seek explore the most beautiful places nature has given us here. Eat foods from modern to traditional and sometimes exotic food.

Another huge step for our little farm kitchen here in the Philippines 🇵🇭🌾

Today we started installing the metal roofing — and wow, it’s finally starting to feel like a real kitchen space! From digging footings to setting the cement post in PVC pipes, and now seeing the roof go up… slowly but surely, the dream is coming together. 🙌

Soon this will be the spot for fresh farm meals, brewed coffee in the morning, and a whole lot of good memories. ☕🍳🌄

Morning Snorkeling Adventure 🌊 | Foreigner in the Philippines | Exploring the Underwater World 🇵🇭

Nothing beats a morning snorkeling session here in the Philippines! 🌊🇵🇭 As a foreigner living in the islands, there’s no better way to start the day than gliding through calm waters and exploring the underwater world. Today I saw bright blue starfish and a few stunning red sea slugs — also known as Spanish dancers — moving gracefully through the reef.

The ocean here always feels like time just stops — peaceful, alive, and endlessly beautiful. If you love nature and ocean life, you’ll understand exactly what I mean. 💙

Cement posts… with PVC?! 🤔🇵🇭
Yep — trying something new here at the farm in the Philippines! 🌾

Instead of building wooden molds, we used PVC pipes and filled them with cement — and get this… the PVC stays on, giving the posts a super clean and smooth finish. 💡👏

It took a bit of time to fill each one, but the final result looks solid, professional, and crazy sturdy. 💪

Sometimes the best farm ideas come from a little experimenting. 😉

Good morning from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines! 🇵🇭🌧️ We're feeling the early effects of Tropical Cyclone Tino today — light rain one minute, heavy rain the next, and the wind slowly picking up. Classic island-life weather 😅

The storm isn't expected to hit CDO directly, but we’ll still see some wind and rain as it builds near typhoon strength. Even if it’s not the strongest system, every storm here in the Philippines deserves respect — flooding and landslides can happen fast, especially near rivers, hills, and low-lying areas.

So stay alert, secure anything the wind might grab, and keep an eye on updates. Rainy days here can be cozy — but we stay prepared. Stay safe and dry, mga ka-farm life! 🇵🇭🌾🌧️
