For the first time in its history, the Senior High School (SHS) Department of Quipayo National High School inaugurated Project REACh: Raising Excellence in the Acquired Competencies in Research. The initiative showcased student researchers' innovative work designed to address relevant societal issues, and was held in connection with SHS Day at the school's pavilion on February 26.
Grade 12 students participated in the event, with eight research presenters and 23 research posters from both the Academic and Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Tracks
Dr. Cary S. Cerdan, who served as the keynote speaker, shared tips on how students can improve their research. He emphasized the responsible use of artificial intelligence, adherence to ethical considerations, and maintaining objectivity in academic papers.
The colloquium aimed to recognize outstanding work across three categories: Best Research Poster, Best Research Paper, and Best Research Presenter.
Winners from both the Academic and TVL Tracks were announced on the second day of SHS Day, prior to the program's official closing.
