𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗚𝗨𝘀; 𝗦𝗠𝗦𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆

Local executives announced class suspensions today on their social media pages due to the then-anticipated inclement weather brought by tropical depression Mirasol. Specifically, pages of Laguna Governor Sol Aragones and Calamba City Mayor Roseller Rizal made posts about the said announcement.

Also, the page of SMSI posted the said cancellation of classes. In addition to the said reason, SMSI also announced that classes on Friday, September 19, will shift from face-to-face to asynchronous classes. This was done in order to give teachers time to prepare the documents needed for the incoming ESC recertification of SMSI this year.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜:

𝗞𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮, 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮, 𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮

Naglalayong ipamalas ang kulturang Pilipino at ang kagandahan ng bawat sining, ipinagdiwang ng mga mag-aaral ng Southhill Montessori School ang Buwan ng Wika ngayong taon sa pamamagitan ng isang programa na naglalaman ng mga sayaw, awitin, at pagbigkas ng tula, na ginanap noong ika-2 ng Setyembre.

Nagsagawa ang sangay ng elementarya ng mga aktibidad, kung saan tampok ang pagpresenta ng kasuotan na katulad nina Dr. Jose Rizal, Maria Clara, at Crisostomo Ibarra. Nagkaroon din ng kompetisyon sa pagtatanghal at pagbabasa ng mga istorya.

Nagsimula naman ang programa ng sangay ng junior high school sa paligsahan ng pagtula, kung saan ang mga tulang ipinakita ay nagbigay-diin sa kahalagan ng pagkakaisa at pag-unlad. Sumunod naman dito ang pag-awit ng mga awiting Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Nagbigay-pugay ang bawat pagtatanghal ng yamang musikal ng Pilipinas. Panghuli naman ang interpretatibong pagsayaw ng sampung mag-aaral sa bawat seksyon, kung saan ay sinayaw nila ang awiting ‘Dakilang Lahi’. Ang mga galaw ay galing sa sariling likha at talino ng mga mag-aaral. Nagtapos ang programa ng hayskul sa sabayang pagsayaw ng mga mag-aaral sa awiting ‘Pinoy Ako’ ng Orange and Lemons.

Ang pagdiriwang ay nagbigay-daan sa mga mag-aaral upang mas mapalalim ang kanilang kaalaman sa kulturang Pilipino. Sa kaniyang mensahe, hinikayat ng gurong tagapayo ng Supreme Student Council na si G. Ervin Bilaos na mahalin at tangkilikin natin ang sariling atin at ang bawat isa.

JUST IN: Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced suspension of classes in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, including Laguna.

Local executives also reposted the announcements on their social media pages. Specifically, pages of Laguna governor Sol Aragones and Calamba City Mayor Roseller Rizal made posts about the said announcement.

Also, the page of SMSI posted the cancellation of classes.

𝗦𝗦𝗢 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗦𝗚, 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀

SMSI Student Services Office (SSO) conducted a seminar on leadership skills, developing confidence, responsibility and resilience for SSG officers and class officers, from JHS president to treasurer, in SMSI (Preschool Room), August 22 2025.

SMSI SSO conducted the said seminar to "highlight the importance of leading not only with knowledge and skills but also in knowledge and accountability”, said Mr. Ervin Bilaos, SSG adviser, in an interview.

Ms. Shekaina Marie Castillo, SMSI alumna and former faculty member, gave talks about the topic of the said seminar. Later, students made a proposal paper and shared it to their schoolmates.

Attendees gained knowledge from the said seminar. “I learned to be more responsible and become more confident to embrace my true self and I also learned successful stories from Ms. Shekaina Marie Castillo”, attendee Chelsy Eunice D. Lumpay said to TYCS. Another SSG officer, Reign Jewel Moya, said that “The seminar provided valuable insights that I will actively apply in my role as a student-officer. One of the most important lessons I learned was the value of effective communication and teamwork. As a student leader, it's essential to keep clear communication with both fellow officers and the student body to ensure everyone feels heard and included. I will make it a point to listen more actively, encourage collaboration.”

Themed "Lead to Excel: Champions of Character, Stewards of Responsibility', the said seminar did not have its announcements earlier due to lack of time together in preparation of the said event.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

Good day, dear parents and students.

We hope you are safe and in good health.

In light of the class suspension announced by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Office of the City Mayor due to the current inclement weather, please be informed that the first day of the periodical examination is also cancelled.

While we prioritize everyone’s safety during this time, we also encourage our students to make productive use of this unexpected break by reviewing their lessons in preparation for the First Periodical Examinations, which will now be held from August 27 to 29, 2025.

Please note that, as of this writing, accounting transactions will remain open from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM to accommodate those who wish to settle their monthly fees.
