✨ STORY TIME ✨

This week I was scheduled for my leadership duty. And grabe… I was still using the same clinical shoes I wore back in 2nd year. Matagal ko na talagang gamit ’to — through thick and thin, literal HAHAHA.

But today, the universe had a different plan for me. After more than two years of holding on, my shoes finally gave up on me. I was on my way to the hospital, and talagang sira-sira na siya. I even tried fixing it, pero pati yung pang-dikit natuyo na.

At that moment, I had two choices:
worry about it… or laugh about it.
And honestly? Pinili ko na lang tumawa.

Doon ko na-realize… some people would get discouraged, or even lose the motivation to go to duty just because of something as simple as a broken shoe. It’s an important day pa naman, and I didn’t even have an extra pair. I could’ve cried or told myself na “ang malas ko naman.”

Pero hindi eh. I chose to see it as a small problem that doesn’t deserve a big reaction. I showed up anyway. The show must go on. I’ll just fix what needs fixing when I get home.

Because that’s life — may mga minor inconveniences and situations that feel big only because of how we react. But when you choose to respond differently, you’ll realize na hindi naman pala ganun kalaki yung problema.

Solve what you can solve… and learn to laugh about the rest. ✨

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is how easily we underestimate other people and overestimate ourselves.

It’s always easier to look around than to look within. But if you keep doing that, you’ll never see what you need to see, you’ll never understand what you need to understand — and you’ll end up focusing on the wrong things.

Shift your energy inward. Focus your whole attention on the parts of your life you can actually control, and take it away from the things that never deserved it in the first place.

When you do that, you’ll be amazed at how far you can go.
