“You guys don’t come around anymore.”
Yeah… we realized our private life kept
showing up in conversations we were never invited to.
Stories we told in confidence.
Things we trusted people with.
Personal moments that somehow turned into group discussion topics.
And nothing makes people pull away faster than hearing their own life repeated by people who were never supposed to know it.
Privacy isn’t being secretive.
It’s having basic respect for someone’s boundaries.
Once that respect disappears, the access disappears too.
So no… we didn’t suddenly become distant.
We just stopped showing up in places where our lives were being talked about more than they were being respected.
