๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ : The Nexus, the official publications team of the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS), held their first regular meeting for the start of the coming academic year.
Led by the organizationโs Chairperson, Mr. Eduardo Salvador, the meeting held on July 21, 2025, at CCIS Building Room 306 discussed seven key agendas in preparation for the upcoming academic year and the corresponding tasks outlined in the academic calendar. Attended by 12 of its 18 members, and among those were the heads of their own respective teams and tasks, namely Photography and Visual Documentation, Multimedia Production and Editing, Graphic Design and Branding, Creative Research and Development, and Editorial and Content Development.
Among the seven agendas was the presentation of the revised version of the organizationโs Constitution and By Laws (CBL) which was agreed upon by the members during their onboarding session that also served as the orientation for the members, held May 29, 2025. Another agenda discussed was the calendar of activities of the organization which stated a few of the foreseen collaborations with the Collegiate Student Council (CSC) of the CCIS, the organizationโs own plans for the entire academic year, and the few fixed goals for the members which include a few planned workshops and seminars that will be announced in the coming months.
The organization has also stated during their meeting that their membership drive is still ongoing and those that are bonafide continuing students and incoming first years of the CCIS, are welcome to join. This call for membership will end by August 31, 2025, which will be announced via their official social media platforms. As of now the publication team is still on the lookout for prospective and interested Writers, Photographers, and Videographers that are willing to join their team.
