If Meta sets these Star amounts and icons for our region ( Bangladesh, India , Europe~ Nene Ezenwaka Indonesian ~ Khusnul Khotimah ) , how is that our fault? If anyone doubts the authenticity of my Stars, please check my pinned reel ... I’ve shared my official Meta purchase and subscription receipts there for full transparency .....
And here's some information from Google..It can be confusing to see different Star prices for the same items, especially when you're tracking your growth as a creator. There are a few technical and economic reasons why the "Send a Gift" menu looks different depending on where you are:
1. Local Purchasing Power & Regional Pricing
Meta (Facebook) often uses dynamic pricing based on the region. Just like a physical product might cost more in one country than another due to the local economy, digital goods are sometimes priced lower in emerging markets to make them more accessible. If you're seeing lower "Star costs" for things like the Dragon or UFO, it’s often because those items have been adjusted to match the local currency's value and the average spending habits of that region.
2. Platform Fees (Apple vs. Google vs. Web)
The price can change based on how the Stars were bought:
* Mobile Apps: Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) take a 30% cut of every in-app purchase. To cover this, the cost of sending certain gifts might be higher on a phone compared to the desktop version.
* Facebook.com (Web): If someone buys Stars directly through a browser, Meta doesn't have to pay that 30% fee to a mobile store. Sometimes they pass those savings on by making the gifts "cheaper" in terms of Star counts.
3. A/B Testing & Updates
Meta frequently runs "tests" where they show different gift prices or new icons to different groups of users. You might be seeing an updated menu (like the one in your screenshot with the 50-Star Shoe) while someone else is still on an older version where it’s 100 Stars.
4. Currency Exchange Fluctuations
Since 1 Star is gener
