In John 3:7b–15, Jesus explains to Nicodemus that one must be born from above and believe in the Son of Man, who will be lifted up like Moses’ serpent in the desert, to receive eternal life.

𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐇𝐈𝐌 𝐍𝐈 𝐌𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐋

Si Aling Rosa (hindi niya tunay na pangalan) ay isang masipag na ina na lumaki sa probinsya ng Quezon. Sa edad na 35, kasal siya kay Miguel, isang OFW na nagtatrabaho sa Qatar bilang electrical supervisor. Sa loob ng halos labinglimang taon ng kanilang pagsasama, biniyayaan sila ng tatlong anak: sina Marco (12), Jio (10), at ang bunso nilang si Klea (6).

Tahimik ang kanilang buhay sa bayan ng San Isidro. Laging abala si Rosa sa pag-aalaga sa mga bata, pagtuturo ng katesismo tuwing Linggo, at pagbebenta ng kakanin para makatulong sa panggastos. Sa loob ng maraming taon, kontento na siya sa simpleng buhay at sa regular na padala ni Miguel.

Ngunit kamakailan, napansin ni Rosa ang pagbabago sa kilos ng kanyang asawa. Madalang na itong tumawag, hindi na rin nagpapadala ng mga mensahe ng pagmamahal na dati niyang inaasam-asam. Isang araw, habang naglilinis siya ng lumang laptop, aksidente niyang nakita ang isang bukas na email—doon niya nabasa ang mga mensaheng nagpapakitang si Miguel ay may kinakasamang ibang babae sa Qatar, isang Filipina ring OFW na may pangalang Clara.

Gumuho ang mundo ni Rosa. Pumasok sa isip niya ang mga anak—paano niya sasabihing may lihim ang kanilang ama?

𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔.

"God is listening to you" means that God, who is our loving Father, is always attentive to our prayers, thoughts, and needs. He is not distant or indifferent; rather, He deeply cares about each of His children. Even when we feel alone or unheard, the Church teaches that God hears every cry of the heart, especially when we approach Him with faith, humility, and trust. This is rooted in Scripture, such as in Psalm 34:17: "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles."

It speaks profoundly about the transformative power of prayer. When we pray, we are drawn out of ourselves — our worries, our limitations, our narrow views — and we begin to see with the eyes of faith and love. Our "horizon" widens because we start to perceive God's greater plan. Our "heart is enlarged" because we become more capable of loving, forgiving, and hoping.
