FIGHT EVIL EYE WITH THE HOLY ROSARY

The holy rosary is a powerful symbol of faith and devotion, believed to invoke divine protection against evil eyes and negative energies. Reflecting on its significance, we recognize that it serves not only as a prayerful tool but also as a reminder of spiritual strength, hope, and trust in divine intervention. As we meditate on each bead and each prayer, we are encouraged to cultivate inner peace, purity of heart, and unwavering faith, trusting that divine grace can dispel darkness and protect us from harm. The rosary thus becomes a sacred shield, fostering resilience and spiritual resilience in our daily lives.

Jesus didn’t *just* call us to believe - He called us to repent.
Repentance isn’t a one-time event; it’s a lifelong journey of conversion. Every day, we are called to turn away from sin and become more like Christ.

That’s why the Sacrament of Reconciliation is not optional... it’s essential!!!
In Confession, we encounter the mercy of God face to face. It is an act of true humility and true holiness, where we admit our sins and allow grace to reshape us into the holy vessels God created us to be.

No matter how long it’s been - 2 months or 20 years - the power of this sacrament can make all things new.

One act of contrition.
One moment of humility.
And an ocean of mercy poured out from the heart of Christ.

“Whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven them.” - John 20:23

THIS HALLOWEEN, ENCOURAGE YOUR KIDS TO DRESS UP LIKE SAINTS AND NOT AS DEMONS

May costume na ba para sa darating na Undas? Malapit na naman ang Halloween kaya naman kung mapapansin natin, nagsisilabasan na naman ang mga katatakutan sa paligid—nariyan ang mga horror-themed na palabas sa TV; mga katakot-takot na mga costumes, at; mga dekorasyong pangkakatakutan na taliwas sa paniniwala ng Simbahan Katoliko. Ang 'Halloween' ay mula sa salitang Ingles na 'All Hollows' o pagdiriwang ng mga banal na santo na siyang namuhay alinsunod sa kagustuhan ni Kristo. Hindi ito tungkol sa mga katatakutan, bagkus tungkol ito sa kabanalan. Kaya sa mga parents diyan, encourage your kids to dress up like saints not evils. In doing so, you are also preparing them to embrace the real essense of Halloween which is holiness and not horibleness.

Dr. Francis J. Beckwith is an American philosopher, professor, scholar, speaker, writer, and lecturer. He is Professor of Philosophy & Church-State Studies at Baylor University, where he also serves as Associate Director of Graduate Studies in Philosophy, Affiliate Professor of Political Science, and Resident Scholar in Baylor’s Institute for Studies of Religion (ISR).

The same applies to our spiritual life—when our spiritual life is weak, evil spirits will also become active within us. Therefore, we should strive to be spiritually healthy because a strong spiritual life acts as a safeguard against evil influences and helps us maintain inner peace and resilience.

Why do we exalt the Cross? Isn’t it strange to lift up something that reminds us of suffering and pain?

The truth is, the Cross isn’t just about misery — it’s about love. It was through the Cross that Jesus gave us salvation. And when we see it, we’re reminded not only of what He endured, but of His invitation to carry our own crosses with Him. He doesn’t remove the cross from our shoulders, but He makes it lighter with His presence — His yoke easy, His burden light.

LET'S PRAY FOR THE PH GOVERNMENT

Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You, bringing Philippines and its leaders into Your hands. Amid all the challenges and controversies we see, we find comfort in knowing that You are sovereign, and nothing escapes Your sight.

Lord, expose every work of the enemy, and let truth and justice prevail. Purify the hearts of our leaders, remove what is not from You, and raise up men and women who will lead with integrity, wisdom, and compassion.

We thank You that You will never forsake our nation. Even in times of testing and shaking, You are shaping us for Your greater purpose.

We declare that the Philippines will rise as a nation that honors You, walks in righteousness, and is led by the light of Your truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

ST. AUGUSTINE'S CONVERSION IS A PROOF THAT NO PERSON IS A HOPELESS CASE

Have you been praying so hard for the conversion of someone that seems too cynical, hard-headed, and difficult to comprehend? Have you ever considered that person as too hopeless for God's salvation? Have you ever felt that s/he is beyond the reach of our Lord?

Is there really such thing as person who is a hopeless case?

The word of God affirms: "Anyone who is among the living has hope." (Ecclesiastes 9:4) And if the word of God says anyone, He means ANYONE. If God worked through Saint Augustine, through worst sinners, He can work through anyone He pleases. He can work through YOU. If God can change water into wine, he can also transform a man's heart. This is all because of His healing grace and unending love for each of us.

Whenever you feel tired of praying for someone's conversion, remember how Saint Monica patiently waited for her prayers to be answered. Remember how her woes reached the heavens and her tears watered Saint Augustine's dry and dormant heart.
