My Biggest SAYANG 😅
Back in early 2011, Paybox.me launched its own virtual currency (VP$), later rebranded as VirtaPay. To attract early users, they were literally giving away money — around $20 worth of virtual credits just for daily login.
At that time, the big names in online payments were PayPal and AlertPay.
Ako naman, I kept logging in daily and eventually earned over $10,000+ VP$.
The problem? Nobody really knew where the project was heading. Forums were full of skeptics, calling it a scam since the “money” had no real-world value and payouts couldn’t be verified.
Then in 2014, VirtaPay offered to convert balances into Bitcoin at a 120% rate so members could finally cash out. Meaning — my $10,000 VP$ could have been converted into around 12,000 BTC! 🤯
Sadly, that was their last move. A few months later, they shut down due to poor adoption — and Bitcoin wasn’t even widely used back then.
Fast forward to today: 1 BTC = $110,000.
So yeah… my biggest SAYANG ever. 😂
