𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 l CPC College of Law Welcomes New Aspiring Lawyers in General Orientation

The Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion-College of Law formally welcomed its new batch of aspiring lawyers in a General Orientation held on August 4, 2025, at the Dr. Adolfo B. Bellosillo Auditorium (DABBA), CPC Blvd. Campus.

The event opened with a message from Very Rev. Fr. Freddie Billanes, College Rector, setting a reflective tone on the journey ahead. College Dean, Atty. Alberto Deslate, introduced the esteemed faculty who will be guiding the students through their rigorous academic journey.

A highlight of the orientation was the keynote address delivered by Fr. Ranhilio Aquino, whose powerful words reminded students that while laws may set boundaries, only a higher moral compass can inspire true justice:
"The law can forbid us from hurting each other. The law can forbid us from trampling on each other's rights. But the law can never command us to love each other. For that, we will need a higher law. For that, we will need higher principles. And for that, we will need not laws written by men on parchment and books, but by the law written by the hand of God on the hearts of all who believe."

Essential academic and institutional matters were also discussed. Atty. Maria Leobeth Deslate-Delicana outlined the college’s academic policies, followed by Rev. Fr. Raul Ticar, Director of Student Affairs and Services, who shared insights on student conduct and welfare. Rev. Fr. Anthony Aguason, Finance Director, provided announcements on financial matters and concerns.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Atty. Deslate, who emphasized the importance of service in the practice of law. Raffle prizes also brought a dash of excitement and joy to the afternoon, creating a warm and welcoming start to the students’ legal journey.
